Bachelor's degree, Hotel Business Management : Degree (Honours)

United Kingdom

A standard Business Degree using hotel and hospitality based models. Using mostly senior management from the local hospitality industry, we were able to gain an insight rarely aquired from mere college lecturers. While there I received a Distinction in the "Wine & Spirit Education Trust" Higher Certificate. I was one of only two in the history of the college to achieve that level. Also I was selected to represent the college in "The Moet & Chandon Challenge" in the Guildhall in London. I was President of the Irish Society, and Captain and Secretary of the Rugby Club, as well as being member of several other clubs. I received a "Blue" for sports from the College on graduation. My Dissertation (Thesis) was assessed to be impossible to mark, when the concept was presented to my professor. However, with his guidence. It was awarded a Merit, and is now hardbound and in the College library.
