• Oversaw the redesigning of the slitting machine rotary union to reduce seal change from 5 hours to 15 mins.
• Facilitated the modification of AGV hydraulic system to eradicate premature hydraulic components failure, especially the pump and installation of suction and return line filters.
• Oversaw the redesign of AGV hydraulic pump to include an internal drain into the suction chamber eliminating pump leakages.
• Facilitated the modification of several idler rollers bearing housing and the bearing type to make precise alignment and levelling of the rollers possible and prevent frequent bearing failure.
• Facilitated change of web cleaner type from ACE to DOYLE, calculation of suction air speed, and installation of static pressure gauges to monitor the same as well as differential pressure filter gauges to maintain the system which led to 86% reduction of printing waste.
• Oversaw the replacement of extruder motor couplings to sure-flex couplings which led to vibration reduction from 3mm/s to 0.3mm/s leading to line speed increase from 280MPM to 400MPM(max. machine-rated speed)
• Facilitated the design, supervision of fabrication, assembly, and installation of a dummy slitting machine motor enabling the plant to produce for 3 months awaiting delivery of a new motor and rewinding of the damaged one.
• Oversaw the modification of the bale press hydraulic system to enable it to operate automatically to eliminate the need for the operator to retract the main and side press cylinders manually and reduction of fluid in the tank from 380L to 200L.
• Modification of compactor hydraulic system to include a fan-cooled heat exchanger to eliminate operating temperatures of above 80 degrees Celsius which degrades oil and hydraulic components.

Achievements:
• Inspected, prepared, and oversaw maintenance for 80 vessels.
• Creating engine troubleshooting SOPs and training technicians which reduced MTTR (Mean time to repair) by 50%.
• Saved a customer from replacing 2 CAT 3516B main engines due to engine de-rating, a problem that saw their vessel docked for over 6 months by nailing down the root cause.
