1.Emergency Room Nurse:
-Categorizing the patient according to the level of life threatening condition requiring emergency care (triage).
- Assess all patients upon arrival in Emergency Room.
- Member of Emergency Team and Responds to Code Blue
-Provided nursing care adhering to established clinical nursing practices.
-Collected and planned the care for patients using the nursing model of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
-Discharged patients and helped in patient transfer.
-Ensure the provision of quality emergency medical care to patients requiring emergency treatment in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, and standard nursing practice.
Emergency Room Nurse:

2. Ambulance Nurse:
- Provides BLS / ALS assessments to all medical and trauma patients in both the pre-hospital and hospital settings in accordance with hospital medical protocols.
- Assisting the doctor in transferring the patient to other facility.
- Transports in a safe manner all patients to and from the hospitals.
-Maintains all records and ensure that all relevant information are documented correctly and promptly like patient care forms, external referral forms, patient transfer report forms.
-Ensures patient safety while travelling via ambulance.
-Preserves life, prevent further injury or deterioration and to promote recovery.
-Gives proper and accurate endorsement to the receiving healthcare facility.
3. General Clinic Nurse:
- Receives the patient in the Doctor’s Room and prepare for physical examination.
- Maintain patient’s privacy.
- Maintains strict infection control measures.
-Checks the vital signs and do the relevant procedures like RBS, ECG, Spirometry and etc.
-Assists the doctor while doing procedures like dressing and suturing.
-Administers medications as per doctor’s order.
1. Medical-Surgical Ward:
- Provides nursing services including medications and injections as ordered by the doctor
- Takes and record vital signs
- Insertion of Intravenous cannula for Intravenous Access
- Administer intravenous fluids
- Administer oxygen/suctioning if needed
- Monitor and record urine and stool output
- Collect specimen such as urine, stool and sputum as ordered
- Observe changes in patient’s status or any untoward reactions and notifies the head nurse or doctor.
- Secure results of laboratory test and other request
- Assists patient in convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Assist doctor during treatment.
- Gives psychological reassurance to patient and relatives
- Educates patient and families on proper care of the sick (identifies patient and family needs and concerns)
- Develop and manage nursing care plan for the patient.
- Participates in general and medical staff meeting as required
- Participates in hospital and nursing activities and formal education programs.
2. Pediatric Ward/ Nursery:
- Provides nursing services including medications and injections as ordered by the doctor
- Make the child comfortable with encouraging words, so can conduct the necessary tests and treatment procedures smoothly.
- Takes and record vital signs

- Administer intravenous fluids
- Administer oxygen/suctioning if needed
- Monitor and record urine and stool output
- Collect specimen such as urine and stool
- Observe changes in patient’s status or any untoward reactions and notifies the head nurse or doctor.

- Assists patient in convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Assist doctor during treatment.
- Develop and manage nursing care plan for the patient.
- Educates the parents about how to take care of their children once they are discharged from the hospital. This includes diet restrictions, how and when to give the medicines, changing the dressing or bandages, and also about the everyday care of children.
- Participates in general and medical staff meeting as required
- Participates in hospital and nursing activities and formal education programs.
