• Working as an Electrical & Instrumentation inspector overseeing the construction, supervision, quality checks, and daily operations of all electrical and instrumentation works carried out by the contractor on behalf of the client. Ensuring compliance with specifications, approved drawings, and method statements.
• Supervision & Inspection of Tunnel MEP works, Intelligent traffic system (ITS), and Telecommunication network, including their integration with SCADA.
• Supervision & Inspection of Storm water network treated sewage network, Pumping stations, Tunnel sump rooms, water features, and their integration with SCADA, HMI, PLC, and MCC Panel testing & commissioning, including PLC programming.
• Supervision of all electrical works, including cable pulling, trenching, laying, installation of equipment (Transformers, MDB, SMDB, UPS, Solar Panels, Pole-mounted Transformers, Package substation, VFD, Control Instruments, Submersible pumps), jointing, termination, testing, and energization.
• Supervision of electrical systems in various areas such as Substations, Control rooms, Utility compound, Tunnel electrical rooms, Generators, Road tunnel lighting system, storm water pumping stations, Tunnel ventilation system, Intelligent transportation system, Central battery system, UPS system, Street light systems, Road tunnel firefighting systems, Micro tunnel MEP systems, Fire Alarm system, Air quality monitoring system, Exit light system, ensuring proper installation of cable trays, conduits, earthing systems, distribution boards, panels, and submersible pumps.
• Electrical design review of various systems including Substations, Pumping stations, Transformers, Distribution boards, MCC panels with HMI, SCADA, RTU, PLC Programming, Leak detection system, Control Logic of Integrated systems.
• Review of shop drawings, IFC, ITP, method statements, and material submittals in accordance with relevant standards (Kahramaa, QCS, IEC, British standards, IEEE Standards). Preparing C/R (Construction/Contractor) sheet.
• Preparation of daily site diary to document all activities at the site and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Inspection of completed work by the contractor, comparing it with shop drawings and preparing as-built drawings. Responding to raised RFI (Request for Information) by the contractor.
• Performing field inspections to verify that the work performed by the contractor meets project specifications, standards, drawings, and contractual requirements before final acceptance.
• Issuing site memos, site instructions, surveillance reports, near miss reports, non-conformance reports, and following up for rectification and corrective actions. Participating in pre-commissioning activities, including closing punch items.
• Witnessing factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, material inspection requests, functionality tests, and commissioning of electrical systems in coordination with vendors, engineers, third parties, and the project team.
• Coordinating with the client, project management, contractors, planning department, and resident engineer to ensure execution progress, material delivery, and timely completion of targets.
• Conducting bi-weekly wet tests for storm water pumping stations and ACO Drains, and preparing reports for Ashghal.
• Monitoring and ensuring the normal operations of tunnels and pump rooms through SCADA.
• Analyzing reports from design studies such as coordination studies, load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and providing recommendations for implementing changes to improve results.

• Performed as a consultant Inspector, controlling project execution, internal audits, and commissioning of substations in distribution networks, ensuring adherence to Method Statement and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) throughout the staged works.
• Conducted QA/QC inspections of substations before handing them over for maintenance, ensuring compliance with Kahramaa guidelines, specifications, and scheme drawings.
• Reviewed and approved quality requirements for manufacturing planning, supplier purchase orders, and engineering specifications to ensure contract compliance.
• Reviewed project design drawings, standards, and specifications, verifying their implementation during the execution of works. Proposed design changes based on site conditions in coordination with the Distribution Planning section.
• Monitored the quality of works, assessed safety at the site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contracts, Kahramaa specifications, safety and health risk assessment, and environmental mitigating measures on a daily basis.
• Conducted monthly progress, HSE, and quality reviews with the client, submitting contractor performance reports.
• Reviewed and approved the submission of As-Built documentation for further updates and records.
• Prepared and reviewed project reconciliations upon completion of works and tender closure.
• Conducted detailed engineering tasks such as equipment placement inside substations, earthing, lighting, control cable schedule preparation, cable tray sizing, cable routing, and termination schedule.
• Prepared and submitted testing and commissioning protocols, installation checklists, and handover checklists for all electrical equipment.
• Inspected delivered materials, reporting on quantity and technical compliance in accordance with Kahramaa, IEEE, NEC, and BS standards.

• Performed as a Consultant & Control Project execution, internal audit & commissioning of Substation & Distribution networks during the stage wise works in reference to Method of Statement & ITP.

• Review the project design drawings, standards & specifications and verify the same implementation during the execution of works in all aspects.

• Review & propose the design change as per site condition in co-ordination with Planning section.

• Detailed engineering of Equipment placing inside the S/S, Earthing, lighting, preparation of Control Cable schedule, sizing of cable tray, cable routing, termination schedule.

• Preparation & submission of testing, commissioning protocols, installation & handing over checklist for all electrical equipment’s.

• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline-related issues on site that may arise.
