● Supervises accounts receivable activities in terms of billings, payment postings and internal follow-ups.
● Ensure that all payments are posted and allocated on a timely basis.
● Follows up collections of accounts receivable, taking all necessary actions to secure timely payment emphasizing on overdue amounts.
● Balancing guest ledger daily before transferring unsettled guest balances to City Ledger, posting, editing and updating to accounts receivable system. Direct bill accounts transferred to the City Ledger must be billed on a timely basis, preferably the same day.
● Review the city ledger folios with supporting documents such as charge slips, LPOs.
● Credit card billings must be controlled separately from other receivables to ensure payments are properly credited and reconciled with receipts. Ensure summary reports agree to amounts credited to bank account. Research and resolve central billing charge back.
● Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date.
● Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
● Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
● The credit and collection accountants prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
● Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
● Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
● Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
