Design Manager (Reporting to MD)
Job Profile: ✡ Leading a team of 6 Graphic Designers
✡ Responsible for designing all kinds of advertising materials as well as packing materials
• Brochures, Logo designing, Flyers, Artwork and Corporate presentation, Editing and Retouching images, Pamphlets, Posters, News Paper, Invitations, Magazine, Exhibitions & all kinds of Signs
✡ Handling the packing materials as well as having good PR skills
✡ Interface with all advertising companies for all gift & give away items
✡ Deal with all Product Managers (Marketing) to obtain their ideas of their product to design the proper design for their product
✡ Interface with Printing press to obtain the best possible quality within time
✡ Coordinate with the Managing Director to obtain his ideas in any design he wants to implement
✡ Interface with other departments for the specifications of printing materials
✡ Controlling colour separations, printing and press for the above ✡ Hardworking and active in the designing department
✡ Handling Graphics, Web and Multimedia projects and executing client satisfactory jobs within the time limit
✡ Design & produce camera-ready art including graphs, charts, clip art, posters, line-art, & photos
✡ Create electronically-designed page layouts & import word processing files into page layouts, as appropriate to the position; develop and produce web-based graphics, as requested
✡ Produce technical & scientific illustrations for presentations &/or publication, as appropriate to the requirements of the position
✡ Consult with faculty & staff to identify their graphics needs, budget constraints & reasonable deadlines for the project; serves as a liaison between the client & printers/publishers
✡ Coordinate the printing production process to ensure quality: write printing & other reproduction specifications (select ink, paper, and print quality); inspect proofs for accuracy; recommend contractors (typesetters, printers, illustrators, photographers, cartographers)
✡ Write & edit basic copy, as appropriate, which may include press releases in some instances
✡ Manage a graphics or photographic library and/or maintain digital records
✡ Provide technical computer support & install software programs
✡ Sometime coordinate and lead the work of others
✡ Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
