Job description:
* Responsible for general ledger accounting including preparation of all month end journal entries.
Ensures that books are closed on time to issue the monthly financial statements by 10th of the month following the month end .
• Monitors bank accounts daily and reconciles the accounts regularly every month.
• Analyzes the actual monthly results with the approved budgets and identifies the causes for variances and recommend actions required.
• Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls to assure company’s assets are safeguarded and for the reliability of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with the authority limits and rules of the company, accounting standards for reporting requirements, regulatory laws relating to taxation, commercial, labor ect.
• Prepares annual budgets and cash flow projections of November for the board of Directors approval in December each year.
• Enables and advises the senior management an other cost center managers to manage their budgets.
• Establish effective credit control for sales and ensure receivables are recovered on time.
• Prepare and maintain accounting manual listing out the work instructions flow chart for each accounting transaction in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer of House of Invention International-Overseas Business Development division.
• Interface with the external auditors for the annual statutory audits and ensure proper preparation of the financial statement and working papers required for the audit. The audit shall be completed by the end of March following the year-end.
• Participate in management meeting and highlight issues.
