Supply Management:
1. Manages, develops material strategies, implements targets and standards/processes within a business; Manages commodities
2. Implements SCM standards, tools and processes in a global business or in a region
3. Implements standards on health and safety and on business ethics within the area of responsibility
4. Executes and implements new directions (CIPS) within the area of responsibility
5. Selects, manages, assesses and promotes talent within a business. Succession planning for lead SCM positions within a business. Arranges training programs.
6. Applies and implements SCM standards, SAP ERP System, tools and processes for business continuity in the area of responsibility
7. Develop local/regional commodity strategy, utilizing global ABB agreements, and commodity team on country / regional level.
8. Establishes good and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units on regional level. Standardizes processes and implements routines along with Table of Authority as per Group Directives.
9. Plan, organize & Manage the Supply Management activities including foreign & local purchasing with annual spend volume of 200 MUSD

Major Assignments / Duties & Responsibilities:
Supply Management:
• Plan, organize & control the Supply Management activities of the department; including foreign & local purchasing.
• Prepare Supply Management strategy & action plan
• Planning, co-coordinating & reporting supply management & purchasing activity with different ABB BU Supply Managers
• Collect, analyze and formulate market data to set competitive cost levels.
• Develop local/regional commodity strategy, utilizing global ABB agreements, and commodity team on country / regional level.
• Establish an annual long-term frame agreement with local/Regional/Global supplier's
• Implementation of total cost reduction action plans.
• Stock control, planning & rationalization of inventory
Purchasing (Local & Foreign):
• Monitor suppliers’ performance for quality improvement, punctual deliveries & sorting them into strategic & critical suppliers
• Support Sales Department during tender stage through obtaining technical & commercial offers from sub-suppliers
Custom Clearance:
• Establish annual agreement with custom clearance and inland transportation
• Obtain the correct tariff code with Customs Authorities
• Utilizing country trade agreement and custom privileges to reduce custom duties
• Apply for custom reduction / exemption due to local added value and manufacturer process.
People Management:
• Provide day by day technical & administrative support to staff in order to achieve the company targets/objectives.
• Preparing & controlling the Dept. annual budget and assess training needs of the Dept. personnel.
• Organize, control and motivate department team to achieve department objectives within agreed budget and target.
