I am a strategic, dynamic and ambitious senior leader. I have extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Facilities Management service sectors in Europe and the Middle East and the retail Food and Beverage market in Europe. I am a proven and skilled negotiator with excellent commercial, communication and executive leadership skills which have delivered substantial organic business development results in my current role. In particular I led a team that has delivered a $100m contract in Tanzania. I am culturally aware, having operated in a substantial number of countries, in my current and previous roles. I have an ability to develop global and regional strategies and to develop personnel and their individual leadership skills. Customer service orientated throughout my career, I have experience of implementing customer service in multiple organisations. In 2014 I was appointed as a Global Scot and provide advice to Scottish businesses in the Middle East as well as acting as an ambassador for Scotland. My career history includes both a corporate plc environment and private equity backed organisations. A UK citizen I have lived in the UAE since January 2013 with my wife and two young children.

ASCO Group April 2009 - Present
ASCO is an Oil & Gas services business providing: on and off shore logistics, supply base/port management, fuel, inventory and materials management, waste management, manpower provision, training, advisory and technical services including HSE. Managed services include project management, pipe inspection, facilities management, provision of lifting equipment and transportation.
CEO - Middle East and Africa, Dubai July 2012 - Present
Manage, develop and grow ASCO in Azerbaijan, Middle East and Africa. Role, responsibility and achievements are as follows:
• Ownership of Regional Strategy and P&L performance $75m Turnover, $15m EBITDA
• Ensure all regional operations maintain ASCO global and client HSEQ standards
• Responsibility for the business development of the MEA region
• Create an environment for exceptional team performance and leadership development
• Develop a customer service culture within the regional and country teams
• Ensure group processes and procedures are managed and executed
• Increased EBITDA performance from $4m to $15m since July 2012
• Delivered new contracts wins in Tanzania, Oman, Turkey, Iraq and Saudi Arabia
• Rationalised and restructured ASCO business in Singapore
• Successfully implemented leadership development with regional team
