US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) FMS Projects, Various Locations in the State of Qatar March 2018 to present
Project includes military buildings, road network, site utilities, communication towers and
land development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and approve structural/civil submittals from contractor according to project specifications and relevant
standards including QCS 2014 and EM385-1-1. Submittals include Shop Drawings, Structural Calculations, Material
Submittals, Method Statements, As-Built Drawings and other close-out submittals.
- Review and respond to RFI’s (Request for Inspections)
- Attend to civil/structural site inspections.
- Attend to factory visits with contractor.
- Attend/witness to 3rd party testing.
- Attends weekly QA/QC coordination meeting with client and contractor.
- Oversee the work of junior staff, or mentor civil engineers;
- Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, co-workers
and clients;
- Assist on all close-out activities such as punch listing and other documentations.
Project Involvement:
Al Wakrah FIFA 2022 Stadium, Al Wakrah, State of Qatar June 2017 to March 2018
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Worked as Design Coordinator for the detailed design and engineering of External Road Works, Parking Areas, Hardscape
and Landscape using AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D.
- Assists in preparation of structural shop drawings for concrete works including bar bending schedule (BBS) according to
British Standards (B.S.)
Project Involvement:
Fit-outs Completion of Porto Arabia, The Pearl, Towers 2B, 10B, 14B & 16A, Doha, State of Qatar
July 2015 to June 2017
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and approve structural/civil design submittals from contractor according to project specifications and relevant
standards.
- Review and approve structural/civil material submittals from contractor project specifications and relevant standards.
- Attend to civil/structural site inspections.
- Attends weekly QA/QC coordination meeting with client and contractor.
- Give technical advice to contractor for civil/structural related issues.
- Manage, supervise and visit contractors on site and advise on civil engineering issues;
- -Oversee the work of junior staff, or mentor civil engineers;
- -Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, co-workers
- and clients;
- In charge of Qatar Civil Defense project compliance specifically for Fire Safety System as per NFPA and Qatar Civil
