• Evaluate bid summaries of potential
contractors with regard to technical suitability,
quality, cost and time.
• Manage cost control covering change orders,
implementation of authorized modifications
and issue variation order.
• Progress / Coordination Meetings with Clients,
Contractors and Suppliers.
• Supervise site Mechanical team Project
Engineers, Inspectors and Quantity Surveyors.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract
documents, including bills of quantities with
the QS engineer, check and review drawing and
BOQ and estimate unit price for each item.
• Undertake and manage interim commercial
meetings with the Client and Internal Project
Team. Report in detail as required for the
Project Manager on the commercial status of
the project.
Assign to HVAC design of Industrial/Manufacturing Facilities, Process Plants, Building and
Infrastructure, Residential Housing Schemes, Commercial and Healthcare facilities.
Design of Commercial Sized HVAC system using chillers, DX Units, VRV/VRF systems
etc.
Comply with NFPA, ASPE, ASHRAE, CIBSE, IPC, CIPHE, AWAA, SMACNA and other
relevant codes and standard for various system.
Conduct training and mentor junior engineers to improve their technical skill. As Senior
HVAC Engineer also responsible for Project Coordination, Estimation, Costing, Planning
and Scheduling, HVAC System Designing, Construction drawings, Material Take-off,
Planning, conducting and providing guidance to staff in areas of Mechanical Design
Development. Performing responsibilities of developing equipment schedule and prepare
specifications, vendor proposals, data sheet and technical studies. Reviewing the NMR’s,
Purchase Orders, coordinating with the vendor to comply the Client Standard.
- Responsible for the in-house HVAC improvement projects, for modification and design as required, and also provide engineering support to maintenance group in issue relate to design, reliability and the operation.
- Evaluate and review vendor or contractor proposals, submittals for design or supply equipment requests to be constructed at site, to ensure that the principle and practice should be safe, and its’ works in accordance to the design criteria obtain from the owner program
standards.
- To understand the HVAC system testing and balancing (TAB) and to ensure that the contractor
report to be valid and precise for the air/water balancing.
- Review company standards and engineering specification to identify any omission or inerrors
that exist during FEED design, and should be revised and corrected for improvement of best practice.
- Provide or assist in conducting training to entering level or junior engineers.
- Provide support for on-site supervision of the new project in progress including oversee for the testing and commissioning process.
- Anticipate in-house or on-site for safety environment regulation training and adopt safety loss
prevention principals (LPP).
