Provides leadership and direct supervision to a team of staff to ensure the accurate processing, storage and dispatch of a specific load and/or equipment, in line with service delivery targets and schedules, and within the boundaries of safety and regulatory requirements.
Plans and executes the workload for a specific activity by closely monitoring the flight schedules. Briefs team members, delegates tasks and oversees activities to ensure the safe and effective dispatch of inbound/outbound baggage. Briefs team members on special carriers handling instructions, and assists the Supervisor to promote best and safe practices at work.
Strictly complies with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Airport Authority Standards and Regulatory requirements. Responsible for all safety issues (including Dangerous Goods) and ensures that all team members comply with the laid down safety regulations at all times. Immediately reports to the Supervisor any equipment or any injury to a team member.
Ensures the smooth running and serviceability of the relevant support systems and/or equipment and takes necessary steps in case of failure or breakdown. Maintains an accurate record of all the baggage processes through the assigned area by using the appropriate recording system.
Effectively liaises with all concerned sections to ensure that necessary information and adequate serviceable handling equipment is available on time.
Completes all pre and post flight activities and any other administrative requirements. Where required upon completion of departure activities takes stock of all mishandled/missing baggage establishes reasons for the mishandling, and dispatches advisory messages to down-line stations as appropriate.
Identified the needs for new processes, recommend solutions to management and executes the procurement process once approved.
Maintains office's records, provide procurement services and leads office activities.
Ensured office administrative operations (contracts) are in compliance with laws and regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
Work with the internal teams for ensuring timely project's commitment.
Maintain up to date documentation on administrative operation procedures and issues, and revises as appropriate.
Recommended and implemented changes to improve office management processes.
