Leading a fine selected group from the best online designers in the MENA region.
Product planning and strategy
My role as the head of design for Yahoo! MENA was gathering the market insights/data, user research, demographic information, legal obligations, risk assessments, competitive analysis, and resources and then define the product scope, then the user journey.
Team management
I lead a team of hybrid designers who’s responsibilities are not limited to product conceptualization, prototyping, interaction design, visual design and motion design. I’m accountable for managing the team daily activates, deliverables, quality, team goals, development, training and innovation.
User experience design
Responsible for building the experience, architecture and interaction between human users and machines. Focusing on user centered design principles my team incorporates user psychology, sociology, CS and graphic design to create the best user experience for Yahoo! Properties.
My aim to design an online experience for the end users to interact with intuitively and cognitively without any hurdles or special training.

Visual design
Responsible for the design, vision and direction of the site, maintaining the Yahoo! Brand and ensuring the visual consistency across the assigned portal products. Building a visual hierarchy by size, color, contrast, texture, shape, position and orientation to help people identify page elements easily and focus on the important elements for the consumer and advertiser.
Interactive motion design
Supporting online marketing by building IBA standard creative and OOTB Banner ads for Yahoo! Properties and for our advertisers, using flash technology and action script.
I lead the design transition from Maktoob to Yahoo! that included brand, identity and UI.

Print and graphic design
Producing high quality prints
I started as a junior designer and gradually climbed the ladder to a creative manager. I eventually lead a team of 22 designers. I was one on the group who founded Maktoob to be the largest Arabic online portal. i also participated in building products like Souq.com and cashU.com.
Web design
Design and supervised the design of Maktoob.com portal and sites since 2000, made and implemented
standards, design libraries, and solid experiences.
Interactive motion design
Building IBA standard creative and OOTB Banner ads for Maktoob Properties and for our advertisers, using flash technology and action script. During my work as Maktoob I’ve created campaigns to some of the biggest brands in the region.
Front end engineering (HTML/CSS)
I established the front end engineering team and was responsible for creating world class, optimized HTML/CSS code that apply to w3c standards.
Print and graphic design
Producing high quality roll-ups and posters.
