Managing two projects with FAO as below:
I. Circular modal for waste management in Zaatari camp: consist of Bio gas station, solid waste recovery center, compost production and agriculture research center.
II. Transformation to more eficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems in several areas in Jordan: consist of rain harvesting system, micro-business, capacity building programs, cash for work and access to market & financial services.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the implementation of activities under Natural resources field; including water and soil conservation, forestry & rangeland rehabilitation and waste management.
• Coordinate the project implementation and liaise with relevant technical units at FAO
• Lead and manage, in close collaboration with the Gov counterpart/s, the setup, organisation and reporting of the Project Steering Committee meetings, in collaboration with the diferent partners
• Ensure preparation of high quality narrative and budget reports for submission to Donor
• Prepare and submit concept note (CN) for mobilising resources with donors building on the progress of this project and linking the outputs of other projects as well
• Develop and Supervisor circular economy module inside Zaatari refugee camp; including Biogas station, organic waste management, compost production and agricultural research center.
• Develop and prepare the projects agreements (LOAs), MoU, ITBs (Invitation to Bid), contracts in partnership with FAO service providers, government and non-governmental entities (arranged through LoA, MoU or UN to UN Agreement) and supervising the implementation processes.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with and amongst project staf, stakeholders and other relevant sectorial organizations; and mapping for new & potential stakeholder.
• Identify and Support capacity development of key staf from the main stakeholders and partners in natural resources field and organize the required trainings.
• Supervise national/international consultant and staf in line with FAO strategy and prepare the required plans, ToRs, JDs and outputs.
• Support the communication and advocacy team in preparing the required material (including briefs, updates, humanitarian profiles for donors, key stakeholders, headquarters and senior management) and ensuring projects activities and outputs are well highlighted and presented;
• Participate in internal & external meetings, facilitate information sharing, and assist in planning and coordination of activities and events.
• Follow up on a broad variety of administrative and logistical actions necessary for the timely implementation of the project activities including recruitment plans, travel requests, arranging the training and workshops, schedules, procurement plans, as well as partnership agreements through LoA/MoU etc
• Manage and lead three different team; child protection team, mental health team and psychosocial support team.
• Management of the projects implementation in Mafraq to insure a high-quality program is delivered.
• Develop all plans (HR, procurement and others) related to the area of implementation.
• Maintain a professional relationship with donors, clients, IMC staff and other stakeholders.
• Represent IMC in excellent way during all types of visits and audits.
• Transmit IMC vision and turn it to implemented strategies in the centre.
• Conduct all essential and ongoing training in PFA, IASC and case management.
• Prepare monthly budget and control expenses.
• Liaison with community based organizations (CBO’s) in the field and provide them with essential trainings.
• Create a positive team atmosphere, motivate the staff effectively and provide them with supervision and advices.
• Submit monthly activity calendar to IMC mental health and psychosocial director.
• Quality assurance for different activities of the projects.
• Keep open channels and high coordination with partners and stakeholders in the field.
• Overall responsibility for the Engineering and Infrastructure portfolio of NRC’s activities in Za’atari camp, this unit consist of 30 engineers from different engineering fields and more than 150 laborers.
• Management of relevant budgets directly related to Engineering and Infrastructure’s budgets. Meet on a monthly basis to review budget versus actual expenditure for all projects and donors funding activities.
• Directly responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of assigned activities in line with core competency strategy and country standards.
• Represent NRC at camp level coordination fora as and when delegated by the Project Manager
• Identify implementation challenges and opportunities and raise these to the Project Manager
• Draft concept papers, proposals for new activities complementing the on-going shelter project, in coordination with the Project Manager
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to the project team on relevant aspects of project activities.
• Maintain NRC’s position as a key actor vis-à-vis the local authorities.
• Ensuring project progress is documented, integrating sound M&E procedures in all aspects of the shelter project.
• Draft donor reports, in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Create new ideas and innovations in coordination with the University of Sheffield for food security (Hydroponic) and livelihoods.
• Manage and implement delegated portfolio of School Construction/Rehabilitation projects (activities, budget, and project documentation) as delegated from PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality
• Assist PM in the development of context specific School Construction/Rehabilitation technical guidelines, management tools and Standard Operating Procedures and ensure proper filing of documents in both hard and soft copies
• Participate in the recruitment of education construction staff and provide supervision, training and capacity development of project staff
• Coordination of school rehabilitation and construction activities being carried out by NRC in the host communities.
• Lead the development school maintenance plans in collaboration with school administrators, teachers, PTAs and DoE.
• preparing temporary learning centers in IDPs camps (Hassansham, Khazir, Depaga and Chamakor.
• Closing previous budget lines and adding new ideas to increase work quality.
• Leading and managing day to day the whole production process, ensure the companys manufacturing process runs as efficiently as possible all the time using various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science.
• Leading production team which consist of around 100 employees from different levels, providing them with technical support and training.
• Ensured that all health and safety guidelines were followed.
• Oversaw the production process and managed the production schedule.
• Prepared and maintained production reports and personnel records.
• Developed internal processes and plans for mechanical verification, product development and factory processes.
• Regularly check equipment, tools, materials, products and production team, also responding quickly to emergencies.
• Ensuring project deadlines are met. Analyzing data, solving operational issues and taking the right decision depending on scientific analytical.
• Handling budget and expenditure, to ensure the products will not exceed its cost, while maintaining the quality of the final product as per quality control procedures and standards.
• Coordinate with other unit and departments when necessary. Preparing and writing all required reports.
• Leading and Managing day to day the whole production process and ensure the companys manufacturing process runs as efficiently as possible all the time using various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science.
• Leading production team which consist of around 50 employees from different levels and providing them with technical support and training.
