Managing two projects with FAO as below:
I. Circular modal for waste management in Zaatari camp: consist of Bio gas station, solid waste recovery center, compost production and agriculture research center.
II. Transformation to more eficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems in several areas in Jordan: consist of rain harvesting system, micro-business, capacity building programs, cash for work and access to market & financial services.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the implementation of activities under Natural resources field; including water and soil conservation, forestry & rangeland rehabilitation and waste management.
• Coordinate the project implementation and liaise with relevant technical units at FAO
• Lead and manage, in close collaboration with the Gov counterpart/s, the setup, organisation and reporting of the Project Steering Committee meetings, in collaboration with the diferent partners
• Ensure preparation of high quality narrative and budget reports for submission to Donor
• Prepare and submit concept note (CN) for mobilising resources with donors building on the progress of this project and linking the outputs of other projects as well
• Develop and Supervisor circular economy module inside Zaatari refugee camp; including Biogas station, organic waste management, compost production and agricultural research center.
• Develop and prepare the projects agreements (LOAs), MoU, ITBs (Invitation to Bid), contracts in partnership with FAO service providers, government and non-governmental entities (arranged through LoA, MoU or UN to UN Agreement) and supervising the implementation processes.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with and amongst project staf, stakeholders and other relevant sectorial organizations; and mapping for new & potential stakeholder.
• Identify and Support capacity development of key staf from the main stakeholders and partners in natural resources field and organize the required trainings.
• Supervise national/international consultant and staf in line with FAO strategy and prepare the required plans, ToRs, JDs and outputs.
• Support the communication and advocacy team in preparing the required material (including briefs, updates, humanitarian profiles for donors, key stakeholders, headquarters and senior management) and ensuring projects activities and outputs are well highlighted and presented;
• Participate in internal & external meetings, facilitate information sharing, and assist in planning and coordination of activities and events.
