My technical support job was to attempt helping the customers to solve specific problems with a PCs & Laptops—rather than providing training, customization, or other support services in SW / HD & Network.
My role in IT, as computer operator that oversee the running of computer systems, ensuring that the machines are running and physically secured and free of any bugs.
The former role was to work with mainframe computers which required a great deal of management day-to-day, however nowadays often work with a variety of different systems and applications.
Normally works in a server room or a data centre, but also work remotely so that they can operate systems across multiple sites.
