In USAID Takamol-Gender Program, I am responsible for the following:
• Provide strategic oversight, technical expertise and regular monitoring in the development, coordination and implementation of the small grants for CSOs, including development of technical content for RFA, grant proposals review, evaluation, and awarding;
• Working closely with the Capacity Building Specialist, to assess the needs of civil society organizations working in partnership with USAID Takamol or taking up any of the grants, and develop and ensure the implementation of relevant capacity building initiatives;
• Facilitate the provision of technical assistance and capacity building for CSOs designed to increase their knowledge of gender equality and women empowerment and their capacity to effectively engage on gender issues; Provide guidance to grantees on the design and implementation of gender -related initiatives;
• Build networks and strategic partnerships with CSOs to ensure their engagement with Takamol program especially with regards to national campaigns, legislative reform priorities and calls to action.
• Develop a comprehensive database of civil society organizations on the community and national levels, identifying ways and means to engage them in the thematic campaigns of the Program and community based initiatives across target communities;
• Continuously assess the civil society environment, identifying relevant developments and organizations, with strategic implications for Program planning and execution;
• Support other components on initiatives, activities targeting/engaging CSOs;
• Manage the publishing of papers, case studies and any relevant content developed by grantees on USAID Takamol clearing house and platforms;
• Draft and complete high quality programmatic reports outlining the activities conducted under the Civil Society initiative and work closely with the M&E specialist on collecting and verifying monitoring and evaluation data on civil society
• Responsible for generating research and content for online gender campaigns through “Faces of Takamol” digital initiative.
• Responsible for managing project activities: planning & implementation that ensures the set program quality for Gender Based Violence projects in CARE Jordan
• Work closely with local implementing partners to provide the needed technical support that assures program quality and sustainability. (teams managed in partner organizations is nine, and three inside Care)
• Responsible for partners management, local partners and CBOs networking and collaboration
• Responsible for Financial & Administrative Management
• Participate in designing women empowerment and gender equality programs at Care Jordan,
• Gender Trainer for Care staff and advocate for women empowerment issues
Project Coordinator for the Engendering the Public Sphere project and Website editor for he who is she database.
main duties of Project Coordinator:
• Coordination of all activities related to implementation and progress of the project
• Submit progress reports as requested on implementation/progress/new ideas/problems, etc to the Project management group.
• Set up action plans in cooperation with the Project Director at JNCW, and other relevant staff.
• Knowledge of and experience with gender equality issues in Jordan
• Monitoring, reviewing and follow-up of project activities and progress.
• Assist in developing a reporting system on progress, financial issues, etc
• Regular contacts to key counterparts
• Coordination of Core Team activities
• Assist in setting up a framework of networking mechanisms with the women civil society organizations and the Gender Focal Points
• Drafting of ToR for short term consultancies
• Assist in the development of the Action Plan and the Project Implementation Plan, time table, charts, etc.
• Introducing Danish short time consultants to the Jordanian project related environment
• Ensure open and transparent communication with all stakeholders
Website Editor, for the Who is she database ( http://www.whoisshe-women.jo), database that is dedicated for documenting the Resumes of Women leaders in the Country and among all walks of Life, my Duties are:
1. edit and Suggest Expert Profiles to the Database
2. Follow on the Selection Committee meetings
3. daily update of the data onto the Database
- Participate in knowledge management and sharing among JEPA employees and members.
-Web content and Database manager
-Performed several training sessions on the association'a database.
- Set the yearly action plan of the dept. And participate in setting JEPA's action plan.
