Working for BASF as a Lead for 3 diverse functions in one of the most stringent times the world has ever seen, the rise of COVID-19, immediately becoming part of the team responsible for opening up premises post lockdown with the social distancing involved. Looking after HSSE pan-Pakistan, for 29 plus sites, integrating them into the commercial, keeping it financially viable. I have successfully managed Security @ the Karachi & Islamabad Literary Festivals for 2 years running to over 300 K visitors in over 3 days each including liaising with LEAs, welcoming dignitaries, expats, public, literary figures & diplomats. As part of 3 Global Audits, presented my portfolio and come off without major observations. Also facilitated 6 On Job Refreshers / Drills all across Pakistan. Successfully penned 6 x new SOPs and HSSE Handbooks in English & Urdu.
As part of the Corporate Affairs, Security Team in the South, looking after the following functions:

First Anti Fraud Lead in Company to cater after Anti Fraud Guidelines given by Diplomatic Missions in Commercial partnerships with the company. In addition looked after Administration and Security Side of the company below the EVP CS for the last 12 months.
• Customer Satisfaction and handling of Customer Complaints in all Visas.
• Dealing with Foreign and Local Auditors, High Level Delegations, Visitors, Diplomats.
• Presenting Company Security Salients to diplomats and dignitaries.
• Controlling Fraud, Limiting damage and proactive analyses.
• Handling Security Projects, Setting up and handling deployment of Security equipment in new setups.
• Coordinating with all departments and ensuring liaison between Security and all other departments.
• Understudy to Executive Vice Presidents Corporate Security, Projects and Commercial.
• Developing and Maturing an Anti Fraud and Compliances System.
• Redefining and Redesigning protocols as per the Security Manuals of the UKBA.
• Ensuring that the protocols for submission of travel documents i.e. safety, security, timely and completeness is guaranteed as guidelines of the foreign mission concerned.
• Ensuring return of the very same documents to the applicant in astute Commercial and Customer Services Environs, disposing off of any untoward circumstances.
• As an amalgam for Operations and Security, I was responsible for penning various Monitoring Document Frameworks and Rewriting of almost all SOPs in the UK Visa Application Centers.
• Other SOPs included:
o Company Monitoring & Anti Fraud Doctrine.
o Company Internal Intelligence Networks.
o Company Power Conservancy Measures.
o Other evolutionary projects in the form of studies.
• Change Management, Transition Management from Old SOPs to New ones.
• Carrying out internal and external investigations and confirming outcomes to Commercial Partners.
• Watching for security and intelligence breaches and proactively mitigating any such occurrences
• Major responsibilities in Makro Habib’s largest chain store in Karachi included:
o Physical Security of the Store Premises.
o Security of the Inventory / Material in Store.
o Loss Prevention techniques, training and implementation.
o Inhouse capture of shoplifters and levying fines.
o Supervision of Monitoring via CCTV.
o Spot Checks of inventory.
o Health and Safety of Store and Consumers.
o Fire Fighting.
o Liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies.
For a tenure of over 11 months, I have been heading the Research Analysis Cell in Unity Resources Group’s Pakistan Private Limited.
• Involved in publication of routine weekly Advisories for international bodies called the Country Monitor.
• Providing Close Protection Protocols and Personnel Security Services to various international clients on their visit to Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar.
• Remained understudy to a major INGO Consortium as Security Advisor for 3 weeks in Peshawar.
• Conducting Security Audits of the Karachi Sheraton and Marriott after the Islamabad Marriott Hotel Bombing, for International Clients.
• Involved in producing Situational in depth analysis, Research / Security assessment reports presented to an international clientele.
• Conducted a Basic First Aid Workshop for INGO in Peshawar - Feb ’09.

• Involved in Administration - Army Monitoring Cell Dir - 1999. I received recognition of my efforts by then Deputy Commissioner Dir Badshah Gul Wazir.
• Officer In Charge Garrison Academy Gujranwala Cantonment. Responsible for Administration and Security of Academy - 2005 - 2007.
• Offered a permanent position at ASDA Leyton, London, UK, as a Security co-worker after a selection test out of ‘100 applicants.
• Recommended by the Security and Admin Manager and Store Personnel Manager after the test and successive interview.
Being the first Pakistani in the BIA, I was trained:
• As an administrative assistant in the Car Parks, I underwent training sessions about administration of the Car Parks which are an entry and exit point for the BIA.
• I was also trained in the Car parks for overall premises and compound security round the clock.
• Recognized by the BIA operations department and asked to apply for a car parks operations team leader.
• Involved in General Administration including Tele-bookings, administration and credit card details handling.
