• Execute month-end financial close activities including banks, inventory, intercompany, AP and AR reconciliations, calculation and posting of accrued and prepaid expenses, sales commission and rebate expenses, prepare standalone and group financial statements of four local companies in UAE and two foreign companies in KSA & UK.
• Manage VAT reporting in UAE for group comprising of mainland and freezone entities and additionally for entity registered in KSA.
• Lead the preparation of detailed sales and profitability reports by customer, segment, channel and brand, comparison of actual sales with budgets and actual profit with agreed margins, investigating variances with sales team and presenting final report with findings to the management monthly.
• Collaborate with supply chain division to ensure accurate system transaction flow and product costing in oracle Netsuite.
• Budgeting and forecasting with periodical controls, variance analysis, management reporting and ensuring compliance.
• Performing month-end and year-end financial close activities, including preparation of financial
statements and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for management and auditors.
• Forecasting cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, & available funds for ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
• Investing funds and recommending appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows.
• Reviewing the payment plans and approving the payments considering the due dates and funds
availability.
• Filing of income tax returns and withholding statements, preparation of advance tax workings and payments thereon, liaising with income tax department for grant of exemption certificates available under Income Tax Ordinance.
• Performing monthly VAT reconciliation, filing of monthly VAT Returns and handling payment matters, submitting VAT refund claims and liaising with department officials for processing of refund claims.
• Compliance of income tax and VAT audit notices, presentation of working before authorities and handling of the tax assessments.
• Liaising with external auditor and fully managing the end of year audit.
Responsible for managing multiple engagement teams in terms of scheduling, training and review of their work on various assignments such as statutory audits, half yearly reviews and internal audits.
• Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Evaluating capital budgeting, preparation of detailed business plans, financial analysis, and cash flow projections to analyze the value of business for the purpose of friendly merger with foreign investor.
• Proposing and implementing cost control measures, inventory control procedures and making process improvement in manufacturing process.
• Supervise Local and Import asset purchases through letter of credit and Accounts payable.

• Performing substantive audit procedures on all areas of financial statements.
• Leading meetings with client personnel to gain an understanding of business process (routine and non-routine) by performing walkthroughs of various internal procedures.
