As a consultancy group, we are directly reporting to Vice President of Transmission Assets Planning and Development. Tasks of the group are listed below:

* Responsible for generation expansion, transmission reinforcements, stability, voltage recovery and short circuit studies.
Investigate, analyze major disturbances, take immediate actions and report them to management, ( i.e. loss of industrial loads due to voltage dip)
* Asses and develop procedures and guidelines for other related Departments.
* Prepare Long Term Planning Studies in the range of 5-15 years to
support the reliable interconnection planning of the Saudi electric transmission systems.
* Recommend optimum system configurations and reinforcements.
* Establish terms and conditions for integration of IPPs interconnections to Saudi Electricity network.
* Develop technical plans/options to meet forecast demand profiles.
* Submit plans to resource planning for independent costing and evaluation.
* Compile independent estimates of the costs of proposed projects.
* Recommend on the priority ranking of projects and place in 1 to 5 year budget accordingly.
* Develop network performance targets and mentoring schemes and systems.
