As an Academic project, worked on an Energy Audit of a tower,
• Conducted an Energy Audit for a high rise tower in Dubai Marina.
• Got familiarised with the ASHRAE standards
• Suggested and worked on ideas concerned with reduction of CO2 footprint of the tower
• Conducted an HVAC sizing for the tower to check if the number of chillers in the tower met the cool load requirement
As a summer internship program, worked at the BHEL manufacturing plant,
• Learned about the Standards and Procedures that are taken in the manufacture of Steam Turbines, Heat Exchangers, Turbo Generators and Brushless Exciters.
• Conducted a detailed study on the manufacture of Turbo Generators and Brushless Exciters followed by a report.
In my Bachelor’s in Engineering at HWDC I excelled academically with overall good grades. However, in my last year I have successfully obtained a First Class Honors degree with specialization in Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanic. I am also the winner of ‘Henry Black Prize’ for the best honors year project in all of the Heriot Watt University campuses around the world. I am a very dedicated, hard working person hoping to make a difference. Honors Year Project: Finite Element Modelling of Charpy Impact Test. Summary: In this project, Using Abaqus software, a 3D model of a Charpy Impact Test was developed under the influence of ASTM Standards. All the non-linearity sources were considered in the development of the model. Two materials were tested for their toughness by the model i.e. AISI 4140-T Steel and Aluminium A6061-T6. Along with various cases, a comparison study was performed between conducted 3D model and 2D approximation.
