o Assist the Quality management/improvement team to establish Specific Quality Indicators in response to and in support of the JCI and other Accreditation processes.
o Document internal audits and data pertaining to Quality Assurance measures, activities and initiatives.
o Supporting the implementation of HMC Ambulance Service Group Quality Procedures, Standards and Specifications
o Draft or update the Quality Policies and Procedures management/improvement
o Assist with medical records review and review the Quality Management data and extract utilization patterns and parameters
o Participate in morbidity and mortality reviews, and summarises findings to extrapolate trends and variations based on quality management indicators
o Participate in data collection relevant to Patient Satisfaction Surveys, Family Satisfaction Surveys, and Staff Satisfaction Surveys.
o Using relevant Quality Tools to collect and analyse Performance and Quality Assurance data
o Tracking, updating and producing statistical reports on performance by measuring against set standards
o Prepare and submit presentations and reports on quality management/improvement projects to leadership
o Collate data from incident reports on accidents/injuries
o Active participation in the Ambulance Service Staff performance improvement program through Case Review Process and Pertinent Feedback Monitoring.

HEALTH INSURANCE AND CORPORATE RELATIONS COORDINATOR في IMARA HEALTHCARE MEDICAL CENTRE

o Coordinating with Health Insurance companies, TPA’s, and Credit corporate for obtaining information on new policies and their coverage and liaises with them regarding eligibility, Pre-approvals, payments, reconciliation, and other requirements.
o Ensuring coverage of claims, guiding Doctors & paramedical staffs for correct use age of claim forms, and approval papers.
o Responsible for claims/e-claims submission process, receipt allocation through manually/online as per remittance advices/payment details provided by Insurance companies and TPA’s.
o Entry of receipts / payments collections in the system & tallying as per the claims sent. Reconciliation of claims - Sending reclaims with medical reports / supporting documents and follow-up with all Insurance companies for payments.
o Assisting invoicing department in insurance processing, billing, and reconciliations.
o Responsible for ensuring appropriate authorizations are received from the Credit/Cash Corporate Clients. Follow up with client companies as needed.
o Monitoring Invoicing and approval papers and appropriate submission as per the standard protocols

Operational
 Administrative lead in the implementation & Customization of the Hospital Information System (HIS). Played an active role in the deployment and customization of the entire hospital software module.
 Spearheading the efforts as an Out-Patient Department In-Charge. Responsible for managing OPD’s, internal processing, Optimum resource utilization & people management.
 To resolve problems with department heads concerning such items as staffing, utilization of hospital facilities, equipment and supplies. To meet with staff members to interpret changes in operational procedures.

The Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Hospital & Health Care Management i.e. MBA (HHCM) is a two years, four semesters, full-time on-campus programme. It is offered by Dr. BRAOU in collaboration with AIHCM of AHERF, at Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Until recently, doctors without any professional training in management were managing the hospitals. This was not only difficult but also unable to devote time for their patients. Hence, it is increasingly felt that the management of hospitals and other health care institutions be better left to the care of the professionals specially trained for the job. Even the government is veering round the view that public hospitals also need to be run professionally. Hence, there is a strong felt need for offering proposed course in MBA (Hospital & Health Care Management). The few institutions that are presently offering the course in the country are unable to meet the growing need for health care professionals. It is evident that there is a wide gap between supply and demand for trained health care managers/administrators to work for hospitals, health insurance companies, health care IT, pharmaceutical companies and other health care provider organizations. As mentioned, there are bright opportunities even in the government sector, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) envisages to increase manifold in the years to come with more and more hospitals in semi-urban and rural areas.
