• Assist the project managers/construction managers in executing all project requirements according to the company standards.
• Supervise all on-site construction including subcontractor’s & resolve day-to-day problems on the job site.
• Inspect all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and quality assurance.
• Liaise with the consultant and design team to achieve the highest achievable standards within the contracts.
• Review Tender drawings, Shop drawings, IFC drawings and also assist in preparing As-Built drawings.
• Assist in development of new project proposals. Includes directing and preparing layouts, preliminary and detailed designs, developing budget estimates, quantity takeoff & collating all required information.
• Liaise with local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
• Raise & Respond to RFI to consultants and subcontractors respectively.
• Provide technical advice and necessary levels of construction supervision in accordance with contract documents.
• Coordinate activities of Civil and MEP teams to ensure drainage, water supply, power layouts are all considered.
• Prepare work chart schedule (Primavera Schedule), monitor project progress to ensure project timeline is met and milestones are achieved and exercise overall site control of the project.
• Conduct progress meetings with clients, their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors) and consultants to keep them informed of progress.
• Prepare necessary documents for shop drawing submittals and approvals, material submittals and approvals and authority inspections.
• Refer to BOQ for clarification of rates and scope of work.
• Assist planning department to prepare Program of Work (POW), develop recovery plans if required and follow it up with suppliers and consultants.
• Prepare daily reports of work.
• Prepare bar bending schedule.
• Prepare risk assessments and job safety analysis of site activities ensuring HSE policies are strictly adhered to.
• Oversee selection and requisition of materials.
• Plotting line - level on construction site.
• Lead, direct and monitor the performance of all site Foremen and support staff in the team.
• Undertook construction supervision of a two-storey commercial building and helped guide the project to complete on time in compliance with relevant building regulations and quality standards.
• Day to day work involved planning and coordinating construction activities at worksite, calculation of building materials, inspection of technical details in accordance with the structural drawings of the buildings and so on.
