Nuzha-Madinah Beautification Project is a Saudi Aramco supervised government project located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Currently, the project is in the phase of selecting the contractor in which the management is evaluating several contractors both technically and commercially.
My current role is to help the team estimating the cost through contacting and evaluating suppliers to get quotations for approved materials as well as contacting different 3rd parties involved to identify potential conflicts which may affect the progress and the cost of the project. The site work will take place in February 2016. The main scope of the project is lighting, soft and hard landscape along with installation of required irrigation system and pumping station as well as installation of pillars and arrows. My main roles will be to monitor work at site to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications and to maintain project’s schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
I was Part of Jeddah Storm Water Drainage Project (JSDP), Saudi Aramco supervised government projects. I was responsible of the upgrade of 15 Underpasses all around the city of Jeddah. The scope of work covers various upgrades to existing storm water pump station underpasses for the 100-year storm event. It includes civil, mechanical and electrical work. Major works involves installing of test lines between discharge header and the wet well and backup generators for the pump station.My main roles are to monitor work at site to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications and to maintain project’s schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems. I am also responsible of preparing project status reports to my construction manager by collecting and summarizing information and recommending actions. In addition, I am accountable of maintaining safe and clean working environment by enforcing rules and regulations.
Internship in JAMED Electro Mechanical Company.
JAMED is a one member company of Al Juffali group of companies. It is a contractor for designing, engineering and installing HVAC. I had the chance to work in several departments such as Design, Maintenance, Duct factory and Project Management. The program lasted for 10 weeks.
