KEY ROLE:
• Key role in developing detailed drawing from employer design, contractual and specification requirements and managing site engineers and procurement.
• Preparation and submission of Material Submittals, Calculation, RFI’s, Shop Drawings and Method Statements in accordance to project specifications and UAE life safety codes.
• Responsible for preparing shop drawings for: Ducting, Chilled water, condensate, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, LPG, schematic riser diagram, coordination, coordinated risers, builders work and as built drawings.
• Coordination for Weekly construction/ progress meeting and update the status of works in accordance to baseline/ target program schedule.
• Monitoring and performing site activities and achieving targets/ milestones of civil & architectural with respect to baseline and target milestones from the planning department.
• Coordinate with project inspections and construction division regarding performances of relevant activities.
• Liaising with construction team and monitoring site activities and analyzing complex issues for any occurrence of non-compliances and thereby controlling NCN’s and SOR’s and proposing corrective actions and alternatives.
• Liaising with quantity surveyor in preparation of monthly billing and claim for completed works.
• Integrate and implementation of EHS Green Building Regulations in the design, construction and post construction phases of the building.
KEY MEP SKILLS:
• HVAC-
External Static Pressure (ESP) Calculation for HVAC equipments FAHU, AHU, FCU, DX, Package, Ecology units.
Pump head calculations for primary, secondary and condenser circuits for central chiller plants.
Chiller pump room requirements verification and compliance as per ASHRAE 15 standard.
Vibration and Acoustic study/ verification requirements for all pump room equipments (chiller, pumps, air separator, pressurization unit and cooling towers).
Chilled water pipe sizing/ selection as per maximum frictional head loss charts.
Chilled water flow rate calculation as per cooling load of individual room spaces.
ESP calculation of fans (Extract, Makeup, Smoke extract, Stair pressurization).
Heat load calculations using Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) working knowledge.
Fire strategy study and requirements for all HVAC equipments and defining as per cause & effect matrix.
Air outlets, Louver selection for all HVAC equipments considering flow rates, velocity, pressure drop and area.
Generator fresh/ exhaust air louver selection, flue gas silencer pressure drop calculation and pipe sizing.
Sound attenuator selection/ verification as per ASHRAE for all equipments.
• Plumbing & Drainage-
Pump head calculations for booster pump, transfer pump, makeup water pump and sump pump.
Drainage and water supply pipe sizing with respect to loading units.
• Fire Fighting & LPG-
Hydraulic calculations for firefighting system (wet riser, hydrant and dry riser).
Sprinkler design and verification as per NFPA hazard classification.
Fire hose reel design and verification as per NFPA.
• SOFTWARE SKILLS
REVIT & AutoCAD- Prepare the Time estimation, Distribution and Allocation among Team members for entire 3D model by REVIT MEP.
REVIT MEP- Modelling, Preparing Schedules and quantites, creating families with parameters, setting up view templates, Preparing sheets and legends, working with worksets, basics for working with Dynamo. Performing BIM Clash detection and making necessary correction/alteration to MEP system Design. Submit work progress report, discuss about delays in job with Project Manager to accomplish the work within the target date
• Spearheading a team of 5 members and managing entire preparation and submission of Material Submittals, Method Statements, Design change RFI’s and Shop Drawings.
• Detailed study and implementation of Contract documents, i.e. Contract terms & conditions, scope of work, BOQ, IFC Drawings, Specifications, LEED requirements, Qatar Construction Standards (QCS).
• Installation detailing on HVAC, Fire fighting, plumbing and drainage systems and equipments as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Knowledge and experience in testing and commissioning of Diesel fuel system, HVAC systems, P&D systems, fire fighting and clean agent system with fire alarm integrations and compliance with Cause & Effect matrix.
• Liaising with design team to prepare of Pre-as built and As- built drawings.
• Preparation of design concepts, cost estimates, economic analyses, plans, specifications, and all related construction project documentation for projects to be executed through contractor.
• Responsibilities included development tasks such as performing enquiry generation, heat load and calculations, cost estimates, reviewing specifications, and work execution testing, commissioning responding to client requests
Mechanical Site Engineer to execute the work from planning, monitoring, construction supervision, inspection, billing and contract management. Preparation of various progress reports for Client & Sub Contractors Daily, Weekly, Monthly. Achieving construction plan as per baseline program schedules.
