The National Commercial Bank (NCB) is the most prominent of Saudi banks and was the first bank established in Saudi Arabia. Since its establishment, the bank has maintained its legal structure as General Partnership until it was converted into a Saudi Joint Stock Company in 1997 as a first step toward initial public offering. NCB is the largest with paid-up capital US$ 4, 000 million in the Arab world.
Responsibilities:
In the Network Operation Centre (NOC), working in the capacity of Sr. Network Engineer, under the ITG. Responsible for day-to-day activities in the Bank’s Network Operation Centre as network monitoring, troubleshooting and coordinating with system and users, Handling Assigned projects. The major responsibilities in this capacity are:
• Leading Network team of 5 to perform production environment isolation, distributing daily assignments & generating daily reporting
• Leading, troubleshooting and resolving incidents
• Configuring and Isolating Cisco routers, Switches, ASA’s
• Configuring and troubleshooting Nortel Router / Cisco Core switches, Passport and Firewalls
• Managing, configuring remotely Cisco IP Phones for users and branches Kingdom wide using CUCM and CMS Gateways
• Configuration, Installation and troubleshooting of Juniper WX20 Compression Devices
• Configuring IPVPN Circuits (MPLS) i.e. STC, ITC, Mobily & Zain 4G for NCB Branches
• New Circuit Activation from Legacy to IPVPN including Tunnels, BGP’s AAA, Access-lists.
• Updating/ Maintaining NOC Database for new and existing Data Circuits
• Monitoring IPS using GUI
• Referring Trouble ticket to STC and proper coordination for faster resolution
• Forwarding tickets to on-site support team for on-site troubleshooting and provide proper guidance to the field technician for early resolution & clearance
• Detecting and identifying Problems from the Incidents
• Responsible for handling and escalating all related problem tickets
• Escalating breached ticket to the concerned parties
• ATM monitoring and troubleshooting by using state of the art, Gasper Vantage and Base24 tools
• Generating and Analyzing reports for Network Utilization and Availability
• Proper handover to next shift for persisting issues
• Working on HP Open-View HP NNMi & HPSM for Networks Node monitoring/ Ticketing
• Prepare Problem Incident Reports (PIR) for major problems
• Analysis and service improvement plan preparation
• Provide monthly statistics on opened/closed cases, root causes
• Receiving assistance from Vendor for new releases and network element upgrades
• Managing emergency maintenance activities

Project Engineer at SBM IBM

Working in Saudi Business Machines Ltd. SBM-IBM on there project for King Abdul Aziz University as a Project Engineer for fiber optic infrastructure. Job Included Coordination with University engineers regarding Civil work designing of duct bank roots, making shop drawings, supervising Outdoor fiber Optic cable installation and termination under LC topology, installing Wireless equipment and configuration of Access point which include Orinoco, Linksys, Symbol, Red Line and Cisco. Costing of the project, making BOQ’s. Played a vital role in completing the project within the schedule time frame.

1- Saudia Airline:
Project consisted of designing and upgrading of UTP cable and fiber cable (reinstallation), which included termination of UTP cable CAT-5 plus fiber termination and polishing SC/ST connectors.
2- Binladen:
Project was related as above, the whole network was on UTP CAT-5, upgraded the whole network system on Fiber Optics.
3- Holiday INN Resorts:
Arranged Installed and completed the project of setting up of Net Café for 15 Users all under Windows NT ver. 4.0

Network supervisor at Ratal Advanced Technology

Worked for Ratal Advanced Technology, on its project with ministry of petroleum and mineral resources “Maden” as Network supervisor. Responsibility was to implement the Network designed by Maden people. The project consists of 729 UTP nodes, 138 IBM type 1 and 40 Fiber nodes. Complete Cabling, dropping, termination and testing was done under my supervision.
Worked on this project part time upon the request of the said company.
