• Comprehensive study of Project Specification and Design to ensure and accomplish that all the works are collated in accordance with Project Requirements and International Standards.
• Monitor the implementation of Project Management Systems by both of PMCM and D&B Contractor, and its effectiveness, through document reconciliation and other appropriate means, liaising closely with the appropriate Senior Project Manager and Construction personnel.
• Initiate actions to eliminate inconsistencies and to achieve the acceptable quality Standards.
• Review and approve all type of quality procedures, ITP and Checklist for each and every activities which are going to execute.
• Verify the ISO 9001-2008, Conformance on all factories /manufacturers/vendor qualifications, where appropriate.
• Verify the materials compliance and conformity with the design/specifications of the International Standards (British or American) and take decision to reject or accept.
• Conduct internal (1st part) and external (2nd Part) Audits on Project department and Contractor’s premises respectively.
• Monitoring the quality control inspectors Team to ensure the quality control related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
• Ensure that the quality control program is implemented as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), relevant standards, client requirements and instructions of the QA/QC Manager, ensuring that adequate resources are available to fully conduct the inspection.
• Participation in weekly site Walkthrough’s with construction personnel’s and contractor QA/QC personnel’s to verify the quality on site and reporting the same to QA Manager.
• Issuance and Close-out of External NCR’s and providing corrective and preventive measures and assuring that contractors Internal NCR’s are Close-out with proper procedures.
• Attend weekly quality progress meeting with DB Contractor & Subcontractors.
• Assures that quality control plan will be explained and demonstrated as needed to fulfill the requirements of the project quality. Coordination with Inspection Department.
• Conducts Inspection to ensure that the select fill material is tested and approved by the third party inspection company.
• Ensure the Quality of Material before it is to be used on the site for all the structural & Architectural Materials as per project specifications..
• Co-ordinate with third party Inspection Company for field density testing and Witness field density test and concrete testing before pouring & as per the standard.
• Ensure that the form works are prepared as per the requirements of the construction drawing. Verify dimensions of form works.
• Inspection to ensure that foundations, excavation, backfilling, compaction testing, grouting, pipe laying, fencing works, pre-casting, plumbing works, masonry works, rebar, formwork, concreting, curing and coating are prepared as per the requirements of the construction drawing, applicable specifications and standards.
• Ensure that proper concrete cover is maintained in all sides of the foundation.
• Inspections of form work and rebar assembly prior to concrete pouring.
• Ensure that the ready mix concrete is procured from approved company.
• Conduct the Trial Mix for different mixes of concrete to ensure the quality and admixtures quantity to be introduced in the concrete.
• Ensure that the correct strength of concrete is being used and inspection of Batch Plant.
• Conducts Inspection to ensure that the temperature and slump test for concrete are as per the requirements of the specification.
• Conducts Inspection by Surveillance to ensure that all activities are carried out as per the requirements of the construction specification, drawings and quality plan.
• Monitoring and Inspection to ensure that all activities are inspected and documented as per the requirements of the inspection and Testing plan.
PROJECT : KING ABDULLAH SPORTS CITY, Jeddah
1.Inspection of all the Civil & Structural works according to Project Specification & approved shop drawings
2.Reviewing plans and drawings in accordance with specifications, codes and standards.
3.Reviewing and approving the contractor’s materials submittal required for the project according to scope of work.
4.Review all construction drawings to ensure that they contain the necessary quality related requirements prior to release for construction
5.Verify all samples, certificates of laboratories and field test for all quality control procedures, records & reports.
6.Make the RFI (Request for Inspection) report for the client.
7.Checking and monitoring materials delivery system (type, quality, date etc.)
8.Inspection of materials and independent testing laboratories.
9.Conducting the weekly quality meeting with contractors to assure the smooth progress with quality, site safety and safe working conditions.
10.Witness field dry density test confirming the specs requirements.
11.Soil investigation through test reports, compaction test for the existing/backfilled soils
to 95% of the maximum dry density. Witness all field dry density test confirming to the specs requirements.
12.Reviewing and approving test results and test methods like crushing of concrete cylinders, Core cutting of cement and asphalt etc.
13.Monitoring survey activities for checking of elevation for foundations, chambers & laying piping systems.
14.Site inspection checking reinforcements, formworks prior to pouring concrete.
15.Performing concrete slump test prior to pouring the concrete.
16.Conducting pre-pouring inspections, checking parameters of concrete, witnessing pouring of concrete, asphalt works.
17.Ensure that project construction activates are conducted in accordance with quality system.
18.Responsible for monitoring all civil works, fabrication or Re-bar work.
19.Responsible in the investigation of the prepared grade before concreting start, inconformity with the plan and specification.
20.Checking the strict implementations of the details and diminishing in slab and pedestal, distance of rebar and stirrups according to the approved Drawings.
21.Performing all inspections submitted by the contractors for the final approval for the completion of works as per the specifications and approved shop drawings.
22.Ensure works are carried out in a safe manner and working condition, as well as meet in the project requirements.
23.Implements the required drawing specifications and perform surveying work
24.Column alignment and final bolt tightening, etc.
