o Plan, configure and commission Mil-SatCom system using different
network & system platforms
o Evaluate and participate in the implementation & integration of new
baseband & NMS subsystem
o Responsible for configuring, managing and troubleshooting all
network issues i.e. Routing, Switching, Voice, Video and Security
o Responsible for the planning and provisioning of new circuits and
services along with the implementation of configuration changes,
monitoring and reporting of Quality of Service (QoS)
o Responsible for network system security, firewalls configuration
management and device hardening including security policy
enforcement by access mgmt. & audit
o Responsible for configuring & troubleshooting various Satellite
Ground Terminals including fixed terminals, Mobile terminals, and
Transportable, Ships and Airborne terminals.
o Responsible for system capability, performance and service testing to
analyze Data, Voice and Video services over satellite link
o Support the O&M team with routine maintenance, fault finding,
troubleshooting and resolution of reported incidents which require
level 3 expertise and beyond
o Monitor existing system performance for potential issues using tools
like IBM Tivoli Netcool, Nagios-Centreon & Orion and provide
continued assurance of all communications services and evaluate need
for further updates or upgrades
o Provide technical support and recommended regarding the
functionality, capability and potential of the Baseband, NMS Systems
o Provide OJT to Customers & Engineers on Network and NMS Systems
o Create documentation and procedures related to baseband sub-
system to improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of its operation,
maintenance and housekeeping
Provide Layer2/Layer3 support for Mili-satcom IP network
Planning and provisioning of new circuits and services.
Implementation of system configuration changes.
Monitoring and reporting Quality of Service (QoS).
Maintaining system availability to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Responsible for the 24/7 operation and management of the network system
o Worked on a wide variety of networks responsibilities include
installation, configuration & maintenance of hardware and software
solutions.
o Hands on experience on both troubleshooting and configuration of
network & system devices
o Design & implemented reliable, fully redundant network using routing
protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) & failover technologies
o Configure & manage security appliances like Cisco ASA5520, Juniper
SR650, Juniper SSG140
o Configure & manage secure connectivity to remote branches using
VPN solutions
o Configure and manage AD, Exchange, DHCP, Antivirus, backup
solution in corporate network
o Evaluate & monitor network performance and reliability using
different methodologies
o Responsible for network efficiency analysis & performance reporting
