Suggest new business leads through market research including secondary research, attendance of industry related conferences and subscription of industry related magazines
Monitor official gazettes of existing and new markets to identify tenders
In coordination with the Regional Marketing, as well as the sales department, ensure timely/complete and accurate submission to tenders that match the company’s overall strategic and sales related objectives
Follow up on competitors’ business activities (discounts, promotions, marketing, and offerings) and report periodically to top management
Recommend to top management strategic and operational activities to act on competitors’ activities and maintain/grow market share
Develop company business strategies and annual operating plans including, but not limited to, sales targets, company expenses, marketing, and business development initiatives
Coordinate with the CCO and the sales teams to set the annual sales targets, follow up on a periodic basis on achievement of the same
Coordinate with the legal functions in relation to new and existing contracts especially in relation to completeness of newly drafted contracts and implementation of existing contracts
Coordinate with the marketing function on the development of the marketing plan, to ensure completeness and timely communication on the achievement of marketing objectives
Review the developed marketing plan to assess the following indicators:
• Marketing budget versus return on investment
• Market shares of Pharmamed Products
• Pharmamed future Products and expansion plans
• Suppliers’ strategy communicated in the annual business reviews
Maintaining on a need basis, communication with key accounts, and report immediately, any noted red flag to top management
Conduct periodic meetings with top management and departmental heads to follow up on the alignment with approved business strategy and signed contracts
Identify new areas for product/technology/market business development opportunities
Conduct annual business review with Pharmamed suppliers
Review & approve the profitability analysis sheets prepared by the pricing and data analysis coordinator
Review & report to top management any red flags, in correspondence to Pharmamed income statement on an annual basis
In coordination with top management, approve any off-budget activity to be performed
Preparation of the Departmental Strategy, Objectives, Tactics, KPIs and budget
Train, coach, educate & monitor the workflow of the Business Development Team
Monitor and adjust as needed, the Business Development Team timetable, weekly plan & weekly report
Report to CCO on the progress of the business development team activities as well as the overall sales activities
Set the company strategic objectives in coordination with the Board
Review and approve the prepared Business Plans
Managed projects related to emailing change, ERP system change & implementing new CRM system (appointed to be the project owner)
Conduct annual technical training for the sales team
Member of the Management Executive & Finance Committees
Member of the Internal Audit Function
Coordinate Project related to Company Corporate Governance
Advise on new products to be added to Pygen portfolio under license & supply business model
Support in setting the sales strategy
Support in strategic business operational plan
Perform continuous market research either through internet or through specialized search engines such to identify new business opportunities
Evaluate & classify the identified opportunities in consistence with the departmental strategy
Fill in master sheet covering identified opportunities, which meet the business development strategy
Fill in, periodic tracking sheet with identified opportunities
Ensure that all correspondences with existing and new suppliers, which relate to the scope of business development are well maintained, archived and easily accessible
Based on the general guidance of the department head, revise shared agreements/CDA/Term sheets, coordinate with the HOD and the legal function to address all the raised comments and negotiate them with the supplier
Prepare agreement instructions upon signing new contracts
Maintain continuous communication with the Regional Regulatory Affairs Department, in relation to the regulatory requirements and parameters that need to be considered in the newly identified opportunities
Receive continuous input from the sales teams on the competitor’s activities and submit periodical reports to the head of department, which include summary of key activities performed by competitors and required courses of action to address
Perform periodic research on the competitor’s general activities in the market and submit draft dashboard
Prepare industry-related summary reports on the key trends that impact Pharmamed’ s business
Handle the preparation of company business reviews/business plans
Manage Suppliers’ meetings & visits, in terms of meeting schedule, agenda & minutes of meeting
Update company branding identity as needed
Conduct profitability assessment per product in coordination with the finance department

Prepare meeting schedule, agenda, and minutes of meeting upon Suppliers’ meetings & visits, Business Development meetings with other departments and/or top management.
Update Pharmamed list of authorized suppliers as needed and ensure that the supplier’s list is always up to date.
Update Pharmamed list of greetings as needed
Communicate with service providers for any changes to be made on Pharmamed website & corporate video and any other communications material. This may include coordinating with the Regional Medical Affairs department and Regional Regulatory Affairs department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Update Pharmamed Corporate presentation as needed
File all received business cards in master excel sheet and ensure continuous update as needed
Ensure appropriate filling for all signed contracts & term sheets while updating Pharmamed agreement tracker as needed.
Assist in the preparation of Pharmamed Business Review including meeting agendas, presentations, supporting documents and other logistics aspects.
Assist in the preparation of new business cases including the precreation of all relevant supporting documents and material.
Amend the forms and report templates used by the department and as advised by the department head.
Update Pharmamed communication Matrix with all suppliers annually and as needed.
