I am working as Senior Associate in the audit and assurance department of Deloitte ME. I am actively involved in both External and Internal Audits.
My job responsibilities of External Audit include planning and managing the audit and assignments, and finalizing the audit under supervision of Audit Engagement Manager and Partner. Specific Responsibilities include conducting kick-off meetings with clients, reviewing the work of staff, ensuring that financial statements comply with IFRS and statutory requirements, preparing audit reports, communicating issues and findings to engagement partners as well as appropriate levels within the audit client.
My job responsibilities in Internal Audit include:
Preparing and monitoring risk based audit plan for internal audit.
- Reviewing and monitoring processes, internal controls, risk and performances.
- Conducting meetings with departmental heads to discuss findings.
- Identify and reporting the issues observed during the audit to the management.
- Preparing the deliverables for submission.
- Developing policies and procedures.
I joined KPMG as audit trainee after qualifying ACCA. I am now working as Senior Associate in the audit and assurance department of KPMG.
