- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arranging scheduled upgrades
- Investigating faults in the network
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- VOIP implementation HQ and all branches
-Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN across HQ and branches.
-Configuring and maintaining cloud computing (Microsoft Azure )

-maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation

-configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
-provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation

Responsibilities:
•Proficient in handling escalated calls and providing customer service and education
•Provide maintenance to moderate sized companies, remotely tracking network infrastructures that are established central office.
•Execute changes as needed to keep a safe and effective network
•Implement software upgrades, network improvements and system alterations
•Troubleshoot and diagnose notebooks, desktop computers and other network equipment.
•directing and routing broadband information to their destination
•perform network cable care such as CAT6 and CAT5
•Detailed record keeping
•Performed research on new network features and functions that could be of use to the company.
Key skills:
•Outstanding analytical, Solution-oriented and troubleshooting extensive Knowledge in Network Administration and support
•Knowledgeable of cisco networks as well as their installation and maintenance.
•In-depth understanding of multiple operating systems
•Capable of training employees on the use of the network
•Experienced in setting up a secure network to maintain confidentiality security precautions
•Demonstrated capability to deliver creative and relevant server and networking strategies by way of all-encompassing problem solving skills
•Superior communication (oral and written), customer service and interpersonal skills
•Both independent and team worker, as required
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
•Poised and patient when dealing with clients
