Duties & responsibilities:
Secure Regional/international Business conferences to be hosted in Qatar at QNCC. This includes researching international conferences with the potential to be hosted in Qatar, meeting local member to convince him/her to bid, compile the bid document/presentation with local client with all relevant budgets, hosting and organising site inspections for clients to experience the destination as well as the venue.
• Research & Research projects: Lead generation of international and regional events through internet, Telemarketing, Tradeshows, ICCA database, Research Projects, newspapers, publications etc.
• Qualifying and development of leads: Contacting potential clients (local, regional or international) to qualify lead and initiate contacts. Capturing information accurately in EBMS (CRM) Software.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients of the QNCC: Leads and Quotes/proposals generated. Client Feedback.
• Submission of general Proposals, Quotations and Bid documents: Responding to client within 24 hours or timeframe provided by client. Regular follow up with client and negotiations handled. Weekly and monthly reports to Sales Director.
• Conversion of proposals and bids to confirmed business: Annual budgets & Sales targets achieved. Hiring agreements (Contracts) issued to meet client deadlines.
• Event planning: Creates Event plan and Event services plan including booking venue at QNCC, logistics, catering, Audio-visual equipment, event branding through events department once the event has been contracted at the centre.
• Maintain client database through EBMS: Accurate and timely recording of all sales activities, proposals and contracts on client profiles in CRM database. Confidentiality maintained.
• Representation of QNCC: Meeting with potential clients to conduct site inspections and meetings. Meeting with industry stakeholders to develop regional and international business tourism.
• Assisting with international and regional development projects i.e. Workshops, Ambassador Program (or similar), Familiarization trips, Bid Site Visits.
• Coordinating international and regional sales travel (Tradeshows) for Sales Manager or Director of Business Development.
