As Head of Emiratisation Strategy at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Fatima Manages the bank’s overall approach to the Emiratisation agenda set by the UAE Central Bank 2022. By that, she addresses the bank’s wide talent attraction, acquisition, development programs, engagement, attrition and knowledge transfer for the future. Prior to ADCB, Fatima led the national talent strategy and programs at Expo 2020 Dubai, overseeing the integration of UAE national talent before, during and after the first-ever World Expo in the region.
Fatima is an expert when it comes to developing strategies and executing of Emiratisation. She is also supporting the UAE Government’s Emiratisation strategy, which is dedicated to building a knowledge economy, by providing exciting job opportunities for UAE nationals, participating in meaningful scopes and developing skills for mega-events, further contributing to the country’s long-term success.
Fatima has more than 18 years of experience across a wide range of industries locally and internationally. Before joining Expo 2020, she worked for a number of leading companies, including Schlumberger, Dubai World, Etihad Airways, Total ABK Academy, IKEA and Abu Dhabi Terminals.
Fatima has completed Wharton Executive Education’s Dubai Leadership Programme and received a master’s degree in global HR management from the University of Liverpool in 2015. She is currently researching Expo 2020’s social impact within the context of UAE nationals’ engagement and building a legacy, as part of a doctorate with the University of Strathclyde Business School and is due to complete her studies in 2021.
As a volunteer for Dubai Cares and other community development programmes, Fatima is passionate about giving back to society. She is also a certified member of Toastmasters International and has twice been elected President of the Dubai Internet City Toastmasters Club. She received the Making an Impact on Nationalization award at the GCC GOV HR Awards 2019 and is a brand ambassador for youth empowerment in the region for the GOV Youth Summit 2020 Advisory Board.
