• Coordinate with the resources of health care institutions, social service agencies, public safety workers, or other organizations to improve the community health.
• Planning and implementation of rapid socio-cultural assessment to identify community mobilization awareness.
• Deliver presentations to lay or professional audiences.
• Develop or implement interventions to address behavioral causes of diseases.
• Direct or manage prevention programs in specialty areas such as aerospace, occupational, infectious disease, and environmental medicine.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and Yearly Health Reports and share with senior management.
• Work closely with Direct Aid Health Centers for information gathering and recording
• Participate in the health, WASH and nutrition Coordination meetings in Mogadishu and share minutes with Direct Aid Office
• Improve Direct Aid health and WASH sectors and identify new partnership opportunities for health and WASH sectors.
• Communicating with Doctors, Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Analyzing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
• Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control
•Train Community Health Workers, Community Health Promoters, Pregnant and lactating mothers and other beneficiaries
•Conduct trainings for the project staff, assess and recommend any training requirements.

• Medical nursing
• Responsible for nursing care of the patients in the emergency room.
• Check the vital signs.
• Assess the pain.
• Check the hemoglobin if it is necessary.
• Note immediately any changes in medical prescription.
• Ensure good understanding of treatment plans.
• Give relevant information on patient’s condition and evaluation.
• Assist physicians with treatment/ interventions required.
• Prepare instruments and equipment.
• Serve as assistant if needed.
• Administer correctly medical prescriptions and document on the patient file.
• Administer IV fluids at the appropriate rate.
• Monitor IV fluids and ensure that it respects the prescribed flow rate.
• Prepare and perform injections respecting universal precautions dosage.
• Clearly mark any prepared medication.
• Perform dressing and report evaluation of wounds on patient file.
• Report immediately to the OT supervisor/ senior staff member any shortage of drugs/ material and equipment.
• Give relevant appropriate handover of patients to ward staff and between shifts.
• Provide health education to patient and care giver as required.
• Teach and explain to relatives/ care takers any assistance required from them in patient management.
• Provide assistance to relatives following loss of a patient if required.
• Explain to discharged patients any continued treatment at home if required.
Master of Public Health (MPH)
Bachelor of Sceince in general Nursing.
