Projects: Enhancing the Phototherapy Radiometer for the use by Nursing Staff, The aim of the project was to develop a unique method so that not only the Biomedical Engineer can check the Phototherapy Lights, but also the nurses to ensure the affectivity of the operating system of the instrument and to keep the high level of therapy to the new born child. The gain from the project was to have a good back ground about the Medical Lights, and their importance to cure many critical diseases. Training: 1-7-01 to 1-9-01 AL Noor Hospital United Arab Emirates 15-1-02 to 15-2-02 AL Corniche Hospital United Arab Emirates 15-7-02 to 5-8-02 AL Corniche Hospital United Arab Emirates 15-1-03 to 30-1-03 AL Corniche Hospital United Arab Emirates The training in Al-Noor Hospital allowed me to gain the general idea about the machines used in a working multi disciplinary hospital. The training mainly concentrated on the maintenance and usage of two machines which are the Dental chair including its facilities and the ultrasound. At the Al-Corniche Hospital I was given a wide range of training and information regarding the standards and safety of medical equipment and biomedical practice. I was allowed to work on a wide range of machines and assisted to find and repair faults to component level. I feel that I have gained the ability not only to solve problems but also to prevent and find the cause of these problems. The level of training allowed me to understand and investigate methods that should save a lot of time regarding repair’s and cost. Beside maintenance a basic course of hospital management was taken. I have gained the ability to work and communicate with all levels of staff and I am prepared for any challenge that was given.
