By working in partnership with the Principal to:
1. Ensure the mission, vision, aims and objectives of the school are implemented through
(a) Participation in CIP development / application / review
(b) Ensuring the vision of the school is clearly articulated, shared, understood and acted upon effectively by all
(c) Motivating and working with others to create a shared culture and positive climate
(d) Providing assistance and guidance to staff
2. Participate in the development and implementation of a CIP (Continuous Improvement Plan) and
(a) Ensure that learning is at the centre of strategic planning and resource management.
(b) Include staff in the CIP development process.
3. Identifying 'Staff Development' opportunities based on school needs and
(a) Prepare in liaison with the PD Committee - with the CIP focus
LEARNING AND TEACHING
1. To participate in the selection of teaching staff
(a) Check CVS make and make recommendations to the Principal
(b) Liaise with Coordinators to organise 'Demo Lessons' with KSA based candidates
2. Monitor, evaluate and review classroom practice and promote improvement strategies through
(a) Lesson observations as per schedule ensuring
(i) There is an opportunity for observations to be discussed with each teacher
(ii) Any improvements to be documented and review period to be noted.
