Healthpoint Hospital Abu Dhabi, a Mubadala Health(M42) partner, is a premium semi-government hospital providing a wide array of patient services accepting patients from around the UAE and beyond. Mubadala Health Dubai is a 125, 000 square-foot outpatient facility ofering day surgery, outpatient consultations, and full diagnostic services for over 30 clinical specialties, including satellite clinic for Imperial College London Diabetes Centre and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Brief summary of my work involves the following:
• Diagnose, treat, and manage all aspects of general pulmonology conditions. This include but is not limited to asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, ILD, lung cancer, pulmonary infections, sleep disorders and ventilatory failure.
• Provide consultation and expert advice for inpatients and patients from other M42 facilities such as Amana healthcare. This includes management of patients on long term invasive ventilation via tracheostomy and non-invasive ventilation.
• Supervise and interpret various respiratory investigations such as cardiopulmonary exercise tests, full lung function tests, skin prick testing, MIP, MEP and various pulmonary imaging studies.
• Manage patients with both respiratory sleep disorders and complex non - respiratory sleep disorders such as complex sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, parasomnia, restless leg syndrome, idiopathic hypersomnia, insomnia, and circadian rhythm disorders.
• Supervision and interpretation of various sleep studies such as polysomnography, home sleep apnoea testing, MSLT, MWT, sleep diary. This facility has a 6 bedded inpatient sleep lab stafed with AASM qualified sleep technologist.
• Collaborate with the high-quality multidisciplinary team of sleep experts at Healthpoint hospital which includes sleep physicians, ENT & bariatric surgeons, orthodontists, psychologists, and qualified sleep therapists.
• Our Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Department won the award for 'Patients likelihood to recommend' Award for Q4 2023.
• Contributed as speaker in various conferences such as UAE Obesity conference, UAE Sleep conference, Primary Care conference. I also provide regular teaching for staf from other M42 Mubadala Health facilities. I am actively involved in raising public awareness about the importance of quitting smoking and identifying common sleep disorders. During this job, I have had the opportunity to take part in various social media awareness campaigns and press releases.
