Responsible for the controlled drug in the out-patient
pharmacy and also responsible for extemporaneous
preparation
FOR THE CONTROLLED DRUG:
• Firstly I Have To Screen The Controlled Drug
Prescription When Receiving The Prescription From
The Patient To Decide The Acceptance Of The
Prescription Or Not According To The Policy And
Procedure Of The Hospital
• Then Entering The Prescription In The Computer And
Check The Patient Profile, If There Are Any Problem
For The Patient, I Have To Follow The Procedures Of
Communication With The Prescriber And The
Pharmacy Director, To Ensure Safe Supply Of
Medication To The Patients
• I Have To Carry Out complete Inventory Check On
Controlled Drug Twice Each Day And Record The Out
Come In Register & And I Have To Report Any
Discrepancies To The Pharmacy Director.
• I Have To Make Reports For The Controlled Drug
Movement Every (Day, WeeK, Month) As The
Supervisor Plan
FOR EXTEMPORANEOUS PREPARATION:
• I Have To Screen The Prescription Firstly According To
The Policy And Procedure Of The Hospital
• Entering The Prescription In Computer And Check The
Patient Profile And Check The Dose And Drug Drug
Interaction To Avoid The Risk &If There Are Any
Problem For The Patient I Have To Follow The
Communication Procedures With The Prescriber.
• Then Prepare The Extemporaneous Preparation
According To The Hospital Approved Standard
Formulae.
• Sometimes I receive new Preparation, At This Time I
Have To Call Drug Information To Take The
Approvement For The Needed Formulae.
Responsible for the controlled drug in the out-patient pharmacy and also responsible for extemporaneous preparation

• I responsible mainly for (in-patient) hospital
pharmacy
• Sometimes sharing for providing Out-Patients
Clinics prescriptions (from 8 a.m till 2 p.m) with other pharmacists in our hospital as a team.
• Every day each department get its needs
(according doctors new sheets) from the hospital
in-patient pharmacy
• Prepare the needs of the hospital departments and save it every week from the central
governmental store by my orders.
• All data related to any drug in the pharmacy is on pharmacy computer, and not allowed to have any
expired drug in the pharmacy
• Each prescription or department daily
consumption is entered to computer, and
accordingly know the consumption of each drug
daily and so know the needs of the hospital every
week to plan for get new orders from the general
store
• Keep available emergency needs according a plan.
• Also I am the manager of private pharmacy
(Dr.AHMED ADEL EL ISSAWI pharmacy) and
responsible for all dealings with multiple
pharmaceutical companies ( financial, to get
orders, and return back nearly expired drugs) and reassessment of the needs of the pharmacy for
each drug.
• Making some pharmaceutical preparations in the pharmacy according doctor's special prescription
(mainly Dermatologists and Pediatrician)
