Project management regarding operating IT platform

I have been successful in differents projects during my association with CORPOVEX as Director of Technology, through proposing and implementing the following items:

• Plan, direct, evaluate and monitor the implementation of IT solutions, focused on programs and projects in the area of information technology and communications, in order to assure operational continuity and innovation of services that optimize, control and simplify the business processes of CORPOVEX.
• Head of the Applications Development Team; the Server, Storage and Networks Team and the Field Support Team.
• Devolpment and implementations of IT Projects like SAP ERP, e-mail service; networking services such as DNS, DHCP; Authentication (Active Directory), GPO's, File and Print; Web Servers, etc., Telecommunications and security network design.

For this period of time, I had the opportunity to contribute in different successful projects during my association with PDVSA as Superintendent of Centralized Platform of PDVSA's Automatization, Computing and Telecommunications office, through proposing and implementing the following activities:
. Management of IT operations and projects in the areas of Servers, Storage, Data Backups, Networking, Applications, Call Centre and Data Centre Energy. Head of all these areas teams.
. Ensure the availability of operational information used in existing applications and services to maintain consistency, completeness, integration and security requirements.
• Define data backup strategies to ensure information recovery from events that could lead to loss of the data or erroneous processing and updating that may affect information quality and / or consistency of the information.
• Manage service agreements and / or maintenance contracts with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) providers used by PDVSA to maintain continuity to the services provided or solutions used with third party components that are part of the Technological platform development of the Corporation.
• Ensure solution of failures that may be presented by platform components of the platform, in the periods defined by the operational service agreements, in order to maintain operational continuity.
• Ensure the updating of the contingency plans to be applied in the event of irregular situations, to secure the continuity of critical services and applications.
• Establish and implement coordination mechanisms with the necessities and opportunities Management team, the Development of Solutions team and the Service Management teams, to ensure the delivery of products and / or services according to the specifications agreed with the user organizations.
• Manage the following teams; the application development, maintenance planning, the call center, SAP support, the technology platform monitoring, and the networking.

During this period, working for PDVSA as Supervisor of servers, Storage and Data Backups at PDVSA's Automatization, Computing and Telecommunications Office, I proved successful in different projects through proposing and implementing the following items:
• Management of all Servers, Storage and Backup operations and projects.
• Design, coordinate and evaluate preventive and corrective maintenance actions, which ensure the operational continuity of the information technology platform.
• Identify, design and implement improvements to the platform that allow service optimization.
• Plan and coordinate the execution of the budget assigned to the coordination, in order to guarantee operational continuity and new solution implementation.
• Plan and coordinate the training of personnel, to ensure their integral preparation and development.
• Participate in assessing the incorporation of new service, standards, operating systems and equipment, leading to the formulation of recommendations and adoption of new technologies.

For that moment, I proved successful in different projects as Technical Leader of Windows Servers, through proposing and implementing the following items:
• Coordinate, guide, supervise and execute the design, implementation, administration and support of the windows server platform.
• Coordinate, design and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans for the windows server platform.
• Coordinate, design and execute projects to implement new services for their expansion and optimization.

• Design, implementing and maintain the windows server platform by supporting all windows network services such as Active Directory service (Authentication, GPO, scripting, etc), DHCP, DNS, Web Services, File and Print, Clustering.
