• Installing, maintaining, optimizing and cloning the Databases including RAC.
• Responsible about different type of database backup ( RMAN, export and cold backup )
• Working on Symantec NetBackup to take the backup on external tapes and appliances.
• Responsible moving the databases to a new datacenter.
• Applying database security through IMPERVA solution.
• Working with Oracle to install Oracle Super Cluster M7 and MiniCluster.
• Doing different types of DBA duties.

I worked as a Senior DBA in Intergration (ITN)department which is responsible about managing 10+ Oracle database instances, conducted server performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting in Windows and Sun Solaris UNIX platforms and performing Oracle server software installation, database creation, system configuration and upgrades.
Here are some of ITN’s databases that must be running and backedup 24/7 :
Customer care database, billing database, autodial database and others.

o Creating Shell scripts.
o Managing CRONTAB jobs on to automate the maintenance and administrative tasks.
o Check alert log for all production database and follow up ORA errors.
o Performance tuning.
o Monitoring system performance, Disk I/O, processes, Memory and take action.
o Checking the daily database reports and taking proactive measures to prevent any database outages like Database availability check, Space check, Alert Log, File system, Archive Destination space, Listener Availability, Blocking locks, Invalid Objects.
o Database / Schema Refresh (using dump file / cold backup / hot backup) in Prod / Dev /Test / Staging environment.
o Grid / Agent installation and maintenance.
o RAC database maintenance / troubleshooting.

Note: PS-ECC shared in many international conferences and installed in more than 5 central banks in the Middle East.
