In this one year of experience, we who are hired by the Department of health were called as RNheals which means Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Services. We work to improve access of poor communities to quality health care and social services. Participates in the implementation of various projects/programs/systems and activities related to Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) and Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program. 1 year was divided into two. In the first six months, our group was assigned at Rural Health Unit and the next six months, we transferred to the hospital that counts to cover a total of 1 year experience/contract.
I am a Volunteer Staff Nurse but my obligations are the same like the Staff Nurse. I give Medication, insert and change Intravenous Fluid. Monitor patients vital signs and and check any changes in patients condition. the only thing different was that i don't have salary since i am volunteer.
