As self employed photographer with experience in webdesign I set about creating a platform for my photos to be viewed on my own site. The best platform for me was to emulate an online newspaper thereby capturing a live audience. This proved invaluable to me as it allowed for personalized sales in fields of well over a 1000 participants. Selling photos was one benefit but the exposure gallery pages got out of viewership more often than not warranted a larger revenue attributed to advertising sales (Int he form of banner adverts).
As I am the sole owner I am responsible for creating all the content, editing, and publishing all of it online. Sales, accounts, admin all fall directly on my shoulders.
The only employees I hired were other photographers, and writers.
