Project Implementation of Core Insurance Application PREMIA 11v (General Insurance, Life and Medical) and Application Maintenance Support to Motor, Marine, FGA, Medical, Life, RI & Finance depts.

Analyze the business requirements in order to provide suitable Systems solutions for the concerned business units.

Handle requests for new Requirements and enhancements to existing ones, and assists business areas with documenting their requests.
Performs tests to ensure configuration and customizations meet business requirements, coordinates technical activities.
Provide end to end IT Systems Technical project management starting from the requirements gathering to the deployment to ensure successful fulfillment of the Customer IT demands.
Develop the testing Scenarios (test script) and Conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT) so that the solution will meet the business users
Analyze the IT Systems operations processes so that the area of improvement will be Identified and planned to be automated.
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
Take care of the Database design and implementation
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency
Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
Interface with Oracle Corporation for trouble shooting & technical support.
Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required

Monitor and maintain Unix HP RX 3600server, ES45 servers, HP DL380 Windows 2008 Servers.
Respond promptly all user requests related to technological & system access issues including Network access/internet & email, printers, Maintaining and re ordering the stock of Computers accessories, printer cartridges, ..etc.
Monitor and Administration of Internet & MS Exchange Server.
Monitor and maintain Network Security and Deployment of Antivirus in the Company.
Mentoring and Training IT Staff Juniors
Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Joined BKIC as a Programmer in 1997, my job responsibility is to develop & maintain Insurance Application (Coins), provide System support to Motor, Marine, Fire & General Accident, Life, Medical, Reinsurance & Accounts departments, resolve data corrections (premium/brokerage/claims) of the policies/endorsements in various depts., to develop special statistical reports required by the management, to take daily system backups, implement and maintain anti virus security program with regular clients updates. I was actively involved in the new insurance system - ‘FINS’ implementation which included Business gap analysis, User training, User Acceptance Testing, Parallel run and Live run.
I have successfully managed the IT department all-alone in the last 3 years of my service. As an appreciation to my dedication and accomplishment, I have been promoted to various levels like Senior Programmer and finally the post of Assistant Manager in the department.
My jobs tasks also includes Oracle/Informix Database administration& maintenance, System administration in Unix, Windows 2003 serveradministration, Administration of Internet / Email (Microsoft Exchange server 2003), co ordinate and implement Security policies for the system access, procurement and installation of new hardware and software and overall look after of the company’s computer hardware and software needs.
