Supervise the execution of architecturally/aesthetically sensitive
aspects of the brand new Kuwait International Airport Passenger Terminal 2 with a 130 000M2 building
footing which include the terminal building along with a 5-star hotel comprising 220 rooms, auxiliary
buildings and a 4500 parking spaces. The new terminal will have a capacity of 13 million passengers
per annum with the flexibility to increase up to 25 million and to accommodate 50 million passengers
with further development. The terminal has a trefoil plan, comprising three symmetrical wings of
departure gates. Each façade spans 1.2 kilometres and all extend from a dramatic 25-metre high central
space.
Key duties include:
• Comment on shop drawings from the point of view of sizes; colours, arrangements; fits and
proportions; quality of finishing works; and the wide range of building materials to be used in the
project.
• Review and comment on Contractor’s shop drawings for details at specific locations and give
guidance on visual and architectural quality of submittals
• Assist and advice on the evaluation and approval of mock-ups; materials; colour and finishes covering
the entire range of architectural elements and products specified in the drawings and specifications.
• Oversee the Contractor’s work at site through the Site Architect and Architectural Inspectors
Responsible for the coordination of the design and construction of a 25 400 m2 mixed use complex facing the Nice terminal 1 which include in addition to a 4-star Sheraton hotel comprising 230 to 240 rooms designed by the American architecture firm Arquitectonica, 9, 933 m2 of office space, 27 flats (on 2 940 m²), and 803 m² of shops at the foot of building. Also, 350 parking spaces are spread over two levels in the basement. All in three buildings are arranged in a triangle-shape, following the boundaries of the plot. The plot also include in its own garden. The Sheraton house a restaurant, meeting and fitness center, swimming pool and spa.
AECOM Site Lead Architect full time supervision for hyper scale (+200MW) data center for deployment across 3 sites in the Middle East for a global tech company.
- Responsible for the design coordination of the Lusail Palaces (future Royal Palaces) from concept design to working drawings. Coordinating with all the team leaders, speciality consultants, end-users in order to produce a coordinated and coherent design. (Project value: Confidential).
Participating in the tendering process for the:
- Restoration and Rehabilitation (Design & Build) of the Qatar Post Office Headquarters used as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & the addition of extension buildings.
- Qatar Children’s Museum (QCM) Project.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the quality of workmanship and materials used by producing appropriate scheme, selecting high quality materials, processing RFIAs, reviewing submittals, verifying the quality of finishes on sites while establishing a proper document tracking system in order to reflect the prestigious nature of the Doha North Sewerage Treatment Works (STW) project which will be the largest green-field wastewater treatment and water reuse facility in Qatar and the Middle East (439, 000 cubic meters per day (m3/day).
Carrying out site inspections at key stages of the projects such as waterproofing installations, setting out, ... Coordination of all workshop drawings, MEP, structural and architectural drawings. Providing approval and comments on material submittals and answering RFI's. Delegating tasks to site staff, carrying out weekly Health and Safety inspections. Participating in and chairing meetings, implementation of design alternatives due to environmental influences. Reviewing tender submittals and attending pre and post tender interviews, issuing monthly progress reports, reviewing contractor programmes and coordinating third party supplier items.

- Al Rayyan & Al Refaa Towers: Doha, Qatar. Senior Architect / Project Manager, site based. Each of 2 basements levels, ground floor + 33 typical floors with gym + swimming pool for each, include also parking and landscaping. (Project value: QR460million)
- Princess Diana Palace, Doha, West Bay, Qatar. Senior Architect / Project Manager, site based. The project consists of a Royal palace undergoing a fast-track renovation. Duties include inspection at site, as well coordination with approved drawings, material and to stress upon workmanship, quality, safety and time. (Project value: Confidential)
- Al Wakra - Southern Area Hospital, Doha, Qatar. Senior Architect / Project Manager, site based. Supervision and fit out for305 bed hospital building (QR1, 300million)
Responsibilities: Senior Architect responsible for coordinating and delivering design solutions for the Angsana resorts & Spa, Eastern Mangroves as well as assisting new tendering submission and technical aspects of the project. Also, attend site meetings, minuting, monitor work in progress on site to ensure the works are being constructed in compliance with approved drawings & specifications. Responsible for liaising with clients, contractors & consultants suppliers.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination of the design and construction of Marks & Spencer shops in the UK in all aspects of development such as construction techniques, legislation, costs, and innovation in materials and with a desire to push the boundaries of design from a conceptual and strategic level. Also assisting L&H as the Green Register Representative for the company.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination of the construction and contractual aspects of the former Parliament House of Senegal. Duties included: Detailed planning and preparation, revised specifications, preparation of weekly and monthly reports, monitoring progress, contacts with clients and officials. Co-ordination and control of materials purchases.
Responsibilities: Supervise and oversee the planning and budget, coordination and monitoring of the implementation of shelter projects. Other responsibilities included, monitoring the shelter situation in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) according to donors shelters guidelines and reporting for UN-HABITAT. Preparing monthly progress reports, training of local staff and assisting in development of new program proposals, liaising with donors, international NGOs and local government authorities on program issues. I also assisted in the co-ordination of the evaluation of the first phase for the rehabilitation of the University of Kinshasa (D.R.C).
Responsibilities: Coordinating the design and construction of the Raiffeisen Head office bank in Luxembourg. Other tasks included temporarily providing inputs design for the Sint-Pieters Hospital in Brussels.
