• Support the development and implementation of Safety Management Systems and, through line management, achieve the safety goals and objectives of the Company
• Conduct investigation and appraisal of safety related incidents and to develop remedial actions to reduce safety risk.
• Coordinates various safety and fire activities, provide necessary technical inputs related issues, preparation and implementation of safety programs, supervising work and conducting regular safety inspection in company
• • Approve the Safety plans, TRA (task Risk assessment) of all sub-contractor & monitor sub- contractor’s compliance.
• Conduct regular Monthly HSE Audits, Environmental Inspection and Camp Inspection on the project, prepares and issues inspection reports and ensures that appropriate permanent corrective actions on noted discrepancies are taken by responsible sub-contractor.
• Coordinating the PTW to be issued taking into account interferences, overlaps, SIMOPS, and any additional risks due to the presence of different Contractors on site and associated type of activities;
• Check safety requirements in the Method Statements and monitor the implementation during construction.
• Have a clear understanding of several process units present in the plant and associated specific risks with good knowledge of several type of activities to be carried out on site (and detailed risk);
• Analyze the quality of PTW forms prepared by requester with integration of all missing points, helping also the requester to determine the precautions to be taken
• Guarantee the good knowledge (training) of Permit system from all users on site.
• Control the Permit to work system (giving a clear status of Permit to work ongoing on site, the closed ones and new to be started or renewed);
• Lead the PTW coordination meeting;
• Participate in the investigation of all accidents and dangerous occurrences.
• Check and ensure that all equipment has been tested by third parties as required and all operators have the proper permits.
• Check proper maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment.
•Represent AMBHertel in various safety forums with client (e.g. Weekly HSE Walkthrough and Committee Meeting).

•Conducts Pre-deployment Safety Orientations, Toolbox Safety Meetings, On-Job Safety Training and Job Safety Analysis. Prepares and submits Safety Reports required by client
•Oversees / provides guidance to Safety Officers in carrying out their day to day safety coverage in the field.
• Conducts accident / incident investigation, formulates and effects appropriate permanent preventive measures.
• Performs daily and periodic safety audits on the project, prepares and issues inspection reports and ensures that appropriate permanent corrective actions on noted discrepancies are taken by responsible Front Line Supervision.
• Maintains up-dated safety records of: incurred injuries, accidents / incidents, fire, and near- misses; evaluates prevailing causes and establishes appropriate permanent preventive measures.
• Understands the requirements and relevant procedures and policies of the client and ensures they are disseminated to and complied with by the field work force.
• Assists Site Safety Manager in the overall implementation of Company and client approved Safety Program on Projects and, assumes relevant responsibilities.
• Conducts accident / incident investigation, formulates and effects appropriate permanent
preventive measures.
• Performs daily and periodic safety audits on the project, prepares and issues inspection reports and ensures that appropriate permanent corrective actions on noted discrepancies are taken by responsible Front Line Supervision.

• Oversees / provides guidance to Safety Officers in carrying out their day to day safety
coverage in the field.
• • Carries out daily site surveys to ensure: only safe work methods are in operation, adequate fire and fall protection are in place, adequate welfare and first aid facilities are properly maintained, approved tools are being used and sufficient appropriate Personal Protective Equipment provided and properly worn.
• Checks and ensures compliance of site work-force with the approved Safe Work Permit System / Procedure in the plant.
• Closely monitors scaffold erection / dismantling work, crane work / lifting operations, hot work, equipment and similar hazardous activities and. ensures that all relevant requirements are complied with.
• Advising project supervisor(s) and manager(s) on the implementation of safety procedures
