Occupational health and safety manager coordinate health and safety systems in an organisation. Identify hazards, assess risks to health and safety, put appropriate safety controls in place and provide advice about accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.ensure personal protective equipment, ensure dangerous materials are correctly stored
identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards, such as toxic fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures, and implement appropriate control measures
ensure an organisation is aware of, and complies with, all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities and the use of its plant, equipment and substances
record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues within the workplace
assist with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation
assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work
coordinate emergency procedures, firefighting and first aid crews
communicate frequently with management to report on the status of occupational health and safety programmers
develop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals.
A security supervisor oversees guards who protect private property against theft and vandalism. Security officers also ensure the safety of people on their employer’s premises. Security personnel work in office buildings, and other public buildings. The security supervisor might do patrol duty, or his job may be primarily administrative.
Responsible for general safety and security of facility, furnishings, and equipment with maintenance management. Completes all daily maintenance requests and reports any unfinished work to maintenance manager; Inspects all equipment for proper functioning on a regular basis. Responsible for tools, ladders, and maintenance supplies as directed. Supports facility maintenance inspection .
Safety Supervisor is responsible for the administration of the Safety program . This position monitors safety issues, provides safety education, investigates incidents and accidents, acts as a resident expert on safety matters, helps to develop loss control standards, and makes recommendations to improve safety in the workplace.
Conduct inspections of aircraft according to specific regulations. They use instruments to measure parts in order to determine if they are worn and need replacement. . They also are responsible for some of the technological aspects of the aircraft and must use various software programs to diagnose the problem a particular craft may be having. They must have fine-tuned troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
