As Commis 1, I usually make all the miscen place for cold kitchen and work under the supervision of my Chef de Partie. I make sure that everything is in proper order, hygiene and temperature. All products expiration dates and availability are all monitored.
As line cook in a casual dining I have a lot of duties and responsibilities; by checking all the deliveries first thing in the morning, making all the productions from appetizer to main course while I make all the guests' order. Checking expiration dates and making sure that everything is in proper order.
• Receiving deliveries, checking quality and availability of products
• Responsible for production that will surely suffice guests’ expectations
• Assisting the head chef in operation and taking lead in decision making whenever he is not around
• Organizing the set up and guiding the banquet personnel with the proper management of pastry buffet area and always reassure guests’ needs
• In charge of inventories, orders and maintaining cleanliness and being organize at all times.
• Decorating cupcakes neatly and make sure the freshness before displaying
• Receiving deliveries, checking quality and availability of products

• Recognize and follow quality standards of products and proper storage to prevent cross contamination or spoilage
• Work under supervision of head chef including recipes and presentation techniques
• Precisely weigh and measure ingredients and proper usage of kitchen equipment
• Wash, peel and cut a variety of food before cooking and serving
• Present finished product to huge group of guests for approval
