Position : Commissioning Supervisor- Process/Mechanical Period : Sep 2022 to Present Project : Karbala Refinery Project Client : Oil Projects Company (State Company) - SCOP Responsibilities
•Working as supervisor in one of the major unit of Karbala refinery named as Naphtha Hydro Treating unit (NHT).
•Conducted pre-commissioning activities such as flushing, air blowing, etc. in process lines as well as utility lines as per standard procedure.
•Closure of punch's in order to proceed activities of Mechanical completion certificate(MC) and PSSR for start-up of plant.
•Steam blowing is the major challenging task which I gone through during pre commissioning of MP & LP steam lines in the project.
•Actively participating in the initial Commissioning tasks such as leak test, mechanical run test(MRT), of both piping and rotating equipment's.
•Sorting out the issues in the right time with efective manner and rectifying smoothly in between project consultant and client.
•Documenting procedure based on leak test, Mark-up P&ID also coordinating with mechanical team for scheduling of MRT activities are carrying out.
•Supporting the Mechanical team with vendor to carry put performance test in the Operational Mechanical run test for the hazards product rotating equipment's.
• Worked as pre-commissioning engineer such activities of hydro-test, Air blowing and also with Preservation of the Process piping systems.
• Card board/Rupture blasting is one of the main activities in the pre-comm. of this project for internal cleanliness of piping systems.
• Various types of cleanliness class are given based on requirement of Preservation Segregation of internal piping system.
• Preservation materials such as VCI, Nitrogen purging will be processed after the completion of pre-comm. activities.
• Tank farm activities such as Hydro testing, Flushing, Cleaning, Box-up etc.
• Oil free compressor with the volume of 1500 CFM is the specifically used for pre-comm. activity based on the Client requirement in this project.
• Managing of Sub-Contractors in the progress of work schedule with less consumption of time.
• Actively involved as team player and cost effective man management system to the company.
• Document preparation such as Mark-up P&ID, Packages based on subsystem for flushing and air blowing of process piping units.
• Worked in the warranty period of Central Processing plant, if any requirements of trouble shooting or maintenance of equipment’s.
• Rotating equipment’s such as High pressure compressor and Pump systems are monitored on the performance basis during normal operation.
• Pre-comm. & Commissioning of Glycol Re-generation and De-hydration unit (GDU) of process Gas service lines with the intervention of vendor.
• Problem solving of fire water pump issues without the disturbance of operational failures at any cause.
• Production plant process monitoring & troubleshooting (Slug catcher, three phase separator, De-salter, Crude Distillation column, GDU, Gas Compressor LP, MP, HP and Crude Oil Storage tank, Oil Booster pumps, Oil Export pumps.
• Reviewing of Mechanical completion (MCC) and RFC and have a process walk-down for the PSSR with client and safety departments before the process start-up.
• Preparation of test package for hydro test based on the classification of system and sub-system process in the Piping and Instrument Diagram.
• Involved in line walk down, which includes punch point closing for the clearance of test packs in priority basis in co-ordination with concerned department.
• Actively involved in P&ID marking, preparation ‘As Built’ drawing, execute the lines mechanically cleared during walk down for Hydro testing & Pre-commissioning activities like flushing, leak testing & card board blasting, box-up of line and documentation control of piping discipline.
• Drawn up plan for maintaining proper records for technical deviations & review at site in consultation with Client/Consultant.
• Execution of Nitrogen Leak test of piping system with the clearance of MCC &RFC with the approval of client.
• Also involved in conducting Hydro test for specially made GRE pipes which is basically water as service line.
• Assisting Commissioning activities with the operation team for the start-up of process systems with Mechanical Run Test(MRT) / Functional test in central processing plant.
• Make sure all systems are designed, installed, tested, operated, & maintained according to the operational requirements of the owner or final client.
• Involved in Commissioning of main Oil pipeline with batching pigs and intelligent pigging of Gas injection network pipelines.
• Conducting ILI of the network pipeline of services such as Oil, water & Gas with intervention of IPS service vendor.
• Operation of Storage tanks and associated Process.
• Understanding the Isometric drawings and prepare for material request as per drawings provided.
• Operate & maintains Liquefaction unit, processing equipment, crude oil storage tank, water & crude Oil pumps, heat exchanges, pneumatic and electrical control valves, etc.
• Records instrument readings and prepares report on operating equipment and changes charts.
• Enforced compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Interface/co-ordination with Stress Group for Critical Lines/Critical Stress Systems, other Functional Disciplines.
• Responsible for Preservation of equipment’s both Rotating & Static according to vendor recommendations or good Engineering Practices.
• Sampling & gauging of different product tanks manually (Propylene, Gasoline, Gas oil, LPG, etc., ).
• Checks and maintains equipment oil and water levels, and monitors temperature, pressure and flow.
• Maintenance of valves, pumps and instruments.
• Collect water samples and carry out the analysis prescribed by plant supervisor.
