I was employed as technical support specialist, And provided technical support for the TFPP Sprinkler & valves and mechanical product segment as technical support specialist serving our customers as well as our sales and BDM teams on technical related issues such as, product enquiries, product selection based upon application, codes and standards, and project specifications. I also supported customers, in preparing of product submittals for projects generally comprising of Product data sheets, relevant approval certificates and issuing of product qualification letters, certificates and compliance statements in order to get the Tyco products approved. I Also assist in producing system concept designs, product tender specifications and attend sites to oversee product installations and commissioning of systems.
I addition, I also conducted regular customer trainings on behalf of Tyco Fire & Protection Products, M.E. on sprinkler system products and mechanical grooved products and also a presenter at A&E events on new product launches and New Fire protection solutions. I also compiled and conducting specific tailored training courses for specific industry clients such as insurer companies and Local Civil Defence Inspectors.

I also took on additional responsibilities such as being the local HSE representative and Facilities Management for the Tyco Fire & Protection Products Middle East Operations and also volunteered and took up the technical support and training responsibilities related to other Tyco product divisions such as Foam and Water Mist as and when needed.

I provided support to engineers on sprinkler systems, water spray systems, foam systems & water mist systems.
I was also responsible for all training to designers, project engineers, estimators and site personnel on all water based fire protection systems with dedicated structured courses on the following topics:
o Sprinkler Systems
o Water Spray Systems (Deluge Systems)
o Water based fire protection design and hydraulic calculations
o Foam Systems
o High Pressure Water Mist

I was the lead design engineer for this project
o Assisting Consultants with FEED and providing all necessary documentation and design drawings for offshore projects in which a High pressure water mist was selected as a Halon Replacement for certain applications and presenting all information such as Design Drawings and Tender Specifications These projects being:
▪ ZADCO Offshore Project- Halon Replacement (Ramboll Consultants)
▪ ADMA Offshore Project- Halon Replacement (Nama Mott MacDoanld Consultants).

Main Project involvement:
o Technical engineer designing, engineering, developing & Promoting the Tyco High Pressure Water Mist System (Danfoss Semco system) for various applications.
o Designer, Estimator & Proposals Engineer for Clean Agent Systems such as Tyco Inergen Systems (IG541), Novec 1230 (FK5-1-12) systems & FM200 (HFC227ea) systems.
o Assisting various Consultants with FEED (Front End Engineering Design) for specialized fire protection systems and providing them with designs and tender specifications for the firefighting systems.

o I designed and compiled “The Consultant’s Guide to Clean Agent Systems” as well as an internal Estimating tool. This is an easy to use tool designed to aid the user in calculating the requirements for a clean agent systems being the Tyco Inergen, Novec 1230 and FM200 systems. The calculator software would provide information such as agent required; size and number of cylinders as well as cylinder footprint, nozzle quantity, size of pipework and vents as well as the detection system such as type of detector, number of detectors and alarms and switches. The calculator tool also provided the consultant with a set of specifications and typical drawings such as P&ID’s, details and examples based upon the information entered into the calculators.
This calculator is endorsed by Tyco Fire & Security UAE and is widely accepted by consultant companies in the Middle East with much positive feedback.
