Brief Overview of the position
* Maintenance technician has the principal responsibility for ensuring that all incoming tools, both from field and other locations are maintained to the highest standards and according to the latest specifications. He is aware of the potential risks associated with such maintenance and works in a safe, orderly and efficient manner.
* The Maintenance Technician shares knowledge and ideas within the location and the Wireline technical community through the submission of Lessons Learned, Best Practices, Sustaining Requests, etc.
* Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Vast experience on various logging tools like Resistivity, Formation Imaging, Seismic, Sonic, Production logging, Induction, Wireline Conveyance and Casing evaluation tools.
Scope of duties
• Performs maintenance to all tools (open hole and production tools) strictly following Schlumberger guidelines in maintenance and repair of wireline tools.
• Records all maintenance and failure events immediately and accurately.
• Makes recommendations to supervisors on requirements for spare parts, test equipment and tools necessary for efficient maintenance.
• Specializing in the maintenance, repair, trouble shooting and Q-check of all Tractor Sonde tools (Tufftrac, Maxtrac and POHS)
• Assists the other team members (FE/FS & Operators) with the respective maintenance sections of their training.
• Ensures all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, resulting utmost functionality and minimum failures.
• Efficiently troubleshoots and repairs assigned equipment, if required, also repairs equipment at the wellsite.
• Proactive participation in failure analysis and has a keen eye in detecting probable failure in tools and equipment.

Scope of Duties
• Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on job location.
• Assists during the operation of well logging tools and equipment at the work site.
• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on all surfaces and down hole tools.
• Performs pre job and post job inspection of tools and equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble down whole logging tools during rig-up and rig-down.
